At Noahs HouseShallotsGreat show. I have been wondering if either of you have tried growing Shallots. I love them and have been trying with no success. I have tried seed and also putting in sprouting bulbs that were from the store. I am in zone 6b western Pennsylvania. Should you plant bulbs when you plant garlic or sow seeds when sowing onions. I have been listening to older podcast, I’m going back through 2020 at the moment. There are 4 minutes of adds/commercials before each episode and the on Jacque does plays twice back to back. Just an observation. Noah……

CAsquirrelsudden ad interruptions, yikesCouldn’t get through the Extreme Climate Growing episode because of sudden and jarring ad interruptions *mid-sentence*?!?
-
kn6catsImprove Your SoundGreat podcast with great content but unfortunately I have to turn it off quite often because the sound quality of yourself or your guest is just unlistenable. Please mic the conversation! Sounds like you’re across the room on a speakerphone. Terrible

Skookum Tum TumRaising Quail in the City?Love this podcast. As an urban horticulturalist, I can’t always find ‘my kind’ in the big city and this podcast fills that void and grounds me. I really want a series on raising quail. I don’t know anyone doing it but quail eggs are delicious (and so beautiful! So cute!) and they’re small enough that I think I have enough space 🤞.

Spiff777Becoming commercializedUsed to be good, not great. But now it seems that everything associated with this “brand” is becoming heavily commercialized with outside adds, and ads for their own stuff. They are diluting their content and will drive the real hardcore gardeners away. Maybe they are only going after newbies, so they will keep chasing their tail, instead of putting quality, unbiased content out there.

DRSKIERJacquesLove the podcast. Kevin gives great content and interviews. The only annoying thing is when Jacque speaks, he uses the word “like” in almost EVERY sentence. I like the topics and content that he speaks about but I can’t get through his podcast because of his overuse of fillers. It’s extremely distracting!

Kimmy NibblerA fellow garden YOLO-erLove this short form podcast! Easily accessible throughout my busy day. I love that you are looking for my thoughtful design work as you recently said you are a person that just throws it in the garden and sees what happens! That’s totally me so I’m happy to be more intentional in my planning. Thanks for providing a great learning resource :)

Winston's MonReally Grateful for the Podcast!Thank you so much for providing such a timely and informative podcast! Much appreciated!!!

LaraJFFun bite-sized segmentsI love gardening and getting organized. When I’m down, reading a book or listening to the Beet gets me back on track. I’ve learned so much on things I hadn’t even thought of trying yet. And I appreciate that each episode is short so I’m able to listen, and then go out and do.
-
Chatty OtterMy fave podcastLove The Beet! I listen on my commute to school and thoroughly enjoy learning everything new and epic in the gardening realm💚
-
CarpediemptfMusic!Thank you for bringing back the original podcast intro music!

movies9999Learning from Epic after 50 years of gardeningI’ve been a gardener in the Midwest us, northern us and now southern us. I thought i knew how to do this, but every. Single. Episode I learn something new from this sweet spirit. The podcasts fill me with knowledge, and even better, they renew my peace, hopefulness and love for growing my own food. If I could only have 1 gardening podcast, this is the one I’d choose.
-
indyanwriterLove this podcast!Amateur gardener here - loved this podcast! But can you bring back the Epic farming theme song please?! I don’t mind the rebranding but the music really doesn’t work, it makes me think of the Wild West, cowboys, and desert — the exact opposite of the original theme which was an inviting, comforting, nurturing garden.

black friday haterGreat for newbiesThis podcast is great for me because I’m just getting into growing. We bought a hydroponic gardening system and that lead to a greenhouse and a composter. Next I’m going to worm farm and try my hand at growing through the winter in the Midwest. This podcast gives me so many tips and talks about things I hadn’t thought and lots of things I need to consider. I love the short episodes but sometimes wish they were longer! Great information, thank you so much!!!

Jenfox79My favorite podcast!I am not a novice gardener. I’ve been gardening organically for over two decades, and I’ve been a master gardener volunteer for over a decade, yet I always learn something new from this podcast. The guests and subject matters Kevin has on are always so varied and interesting- although I have to say my favorite episodes are the ones with Jacque. I feel like I’m sitting with my buddies taking gardening. I also love that it’s a quick 10 minute show that I can easily finish in the car on the way home. As a busy mom, sometimes it’ll take me a week to get through other hour long podcasts. The only thing I don’t like is the new theme music for The Beet versus Epic Gardening. I really miss the nature sounds in the chirping birds, it was like my daily meditation! I’m sure it’s hard work making a daily show and it is appreciated so thank you Kevin and the Epic Gardening team.

Ted SledLong-time listenerLove podcast when in the garden, yard, driving, etc., often not in a spot to watch a video. You got me into gardening. Thanks and keep going Kevin.

geoindianaStop clicking your mouseLately I have noticed a lot of clicking in the background while your guests are talking. Sounds like a computer mouse. I hate to say it but if you are working on other things while your guest are talking you are not listening to them. If you are not interested in what they are saying, why should I be interested?
-
crdmasLove the show! The mouse clicking drives me crazyI love the content and barely miss an episode. I’m not sure what it is going on in the background, but it totally sounds like Kevin is doing other work while talking to his guests, which would be super dismissive and rude. I hope it’s something related to running the show instead. Regardless it’s very distracting. If they could figure out how to stop making the sound our take it out, then it’s a 5 star show!
-
reku2000I love it!I am brand spanking new to gardening and I know absolutely nothing. I follow so much homesteaders and farmers and gardeners on instagram and other forms of social media and Kevins account is the most knowledgable one to me. I love listening to the podcast while working on school work or just driving around and I think its great. Its not super long like some podcasts and it gets straight to the point and I love that
-
Shrieks fedNo new music please!Kevin, I love the music 🥰you had on Epic Gardening. It was so soothing & relaxing. Now it’s seems on The Beet you will have loud obnoxious drum beats. ☹️boooo! Otherwise I would give you a 5 stars.

Tayfont211 improvementHey guys, love the show, I try to keep up everyday. This podcast has made a huge difference in my gardening knowledge in the short time I’ve been listening. I do have one suggestion, and it comes from more of a distraction standpoint. I often hear the clicking of a mouse, unfortunately one that sounds rather close to the microphone, while guests are speaking. I find myself getting overstimulated while trying to listen to the guest speakers and having this intermittent clicking in the background. I absolutely understand the idea of multitasking and time constraints but please please from someone who has sensory difficulties please try to eliminate as much background noise as possible. I have had to stop listening to a couple episodes because it was so disruptive to me.

Yavapai MGYavapai MGExcellent guests/interviews. Provides practical and accessible information on myriad gardening topics. Kevin's enthusiasm is infectious.
-
Lala1123454321Really cool podcast!I love all of the information you get from this podcast! I also like the guests because it gives me more channels to information that I can trust
-
RyeGuy'10Conflicting adviceI’ve recently discovered Epic Gardening and I love what Kevin has created in this company. However, in the April 17th 2023 episode he has a guest on that one s completely contradicting all of the advice that the guest from the previous week, Gardenairy, was giving about ignoring plant spacing requirements and growing in the shade when this weeks guests comes right out and says that it’s very important to garden in full sunlight. As a new vegetable gardening i would expect consistency in gardening advice especially from such a big social media star like Kevin.
-
SilverSRockGreat Informative Tool that’s not OverwhelmingKevin does a good job of making a podcast that dose a thorough overview of different subjects he covers, but not overwhelming long. I get nice outlines of info I need that empowers me to easily do my own further research on specifics I’m interested, yet I’m able to be entertained by the fascinating extra info that’s not as useful to me but opens up the wonders and excitement of the diversity of gardening to me.
-
ltlredfunLongtime gardener still learning tons here! These podcasts are perfect when I’m winter sowing, weeding, succession planting and doing all the gardening tasks. Kevin has a wide breadth of experience and knowledge and brings his listeners on his growing journeys with great guests. This podcast is a joy to listen and learn with/ from.
-
🤘🏼🙏🏼Gardening gold🔥🔥Thank you! Such good information.

Lila MillPlease Stop Talking Over Your GuestsThere have been some really great guests on this podcast that have shared some great knowledge. However, it’s not helpful to listeners when Kevin CONSTANTLY interrupts the guests who are sharing something valuable. Half the time the guest can barely finish their thought before Kevin is jumping in, talking over them, or completely changing the subject. For those of us who are not familiar with outdoor gardening, we could really benefit from you just letting whoever the expert is talk and finish speaking about what they want to tell us. It’s also disrespectful to the guest that’s speaking. Not trying to be negative, but I’ve listened to this podcast for a year and this has ALWAYS bugged me. We could gain so much more if the guests could just finish speaking.
-
GigiElevenFavorite new podcastThis is exactly what I was looking for! Straight-to-the-point knowledge about the very particular ins and outs of growing. For example, companion planting specific flowers to attract specific pollinators for specific fruits. I’ve mulled over charts trying to remember what to plant with what, but understanding why echinacea logistically works for a bumble bee opens up a world of understanding.
-
TheGratefulForestFavorite podcast at the moment!I love listening to these short and sweet informative podcasts. As a new gardener with lots to learn the way things are simplified is great. Loved the companion planting a succession planting series this month and I even bought the companion planting book as a result!
-
OTSPOKNEntertaining and informativeMy only criticism is that they are too short. I do subscribe to the YouTube channel but love listening to the podcast on my way to and from work.
-
CreativejunkyEnd of an era to another generationThis podcast has literally changed my life. My dad is towards the end of his life and gardening is something I didn’t realize how he influenced me. Growing up, we always had beautiful fresh food from our garden. Now we have such a wonderful thing to share and it really is because I have Kevin and the team to listen too for inspiration. I live in Escondido just 35 minutes from the Epic homestead so the local advice is invaluable! They are completely down to earth, funny, cheeky and clever. I am fussy too! Thanks peeps!
-
dwgoldbeI wish there were pumpkin picturesThis giant pumpkin set of episodes is fantastic. I love every part of it, from the sorted details of the community, through the wonderful accent, through the science and experience that comes across. I wish that each of these podcasts were also video recorded for you tube. Huge fan, great work, want to see these pumpkins and this pumpkin maniac.
-
SimonbkaWhat a gem!Perfectly, brief episodes that are just right if you have a few spare minutes; or if more than a few spare minutes, listen to more than one! Small amount of time investment, with large value return, to any type of gardener!
-

Toast1987Great listen. The Epic Gardening Podcast has been great for my daily dose of gardening. Especially in the winter. Helps me stay motivated and get some planning done for the next garden. Also plenty of new ideas to try broken down in an easily understandable way. Great listen. Great job. Keep up the inspiring work.
-
PamintheNWListening to JacquesThe Garden Hermit is quite possibly the most interesting, engaging, informative, inspiring and easy to listen to guest Kevin has had. I just listened to each of his interviews and I could listen to him for hours. Jacques is so knowledgeable and has so much great information for the home gardener. Thanks for the great interview! I hope to see more of you, Jacques!
-
Liz6945Very knowledgeable!I enjoy listing to these daily garden talks. So many different ideas to think about.
-
MacPhyte2022 NewbyI find the podcast to be both informative and relaxing. Kevin has a very calming delivery and seems to feature guests who share this quality. The range of topics is impressive; I especially enjoy Epic’s decision to feature a speaker over multiple episodes. Although the opening and closing sound bites are a bit unusual, the podcast is worth a regular listen.
-
KTC080808Short and efficientLove these bite sized garden stories with best practices in various growing zones. Love Kevin’s voice and he never pretends to be an expert in every topic. -KimChi
-
MomsinthegardenGratitudeSo grateful to find this informative and soothing gardening podcast. Thank you Kevin!
-
momof 4 great kidsVery easy to listen toKevin‘s voice is very soothing. He has an ability to keep guests on topic. I feel like I learn more in five minutes and his podcast than I do and 50 in many others.
-
llellwyn2Green goodness!Kevin Espiritu has a wonderful voice and manner of speaking. His gardening topics and information are succinct and invaluable. Keep on growing!

nguyentruongmsuCohesive informationI started listening to Epic Gardening podcast since 2021 when I was working on my patio garden, and now I’m going back to the very first episodes as I start my first raised bed garden! Surprisingly these early episodes are very useful in a different way, since it was just Kevin giving his tips instead of having guest on the podcast. Noticed some episodes having som audio issue but other than that a great podcast for gardeners to listen to
