    Five stars
So thrilled this podcast is back .. thank you Goalhanger. As an ex-pat Londoner who has never had a dog but soon to get a service animal due to visual disability this podcast is great for figuring out like with a dog … and it also makes me cough a lung out laughing

    I love this podcast
Wonderful conversation, wonderful insight with the added benefit of a tiny bit of dog talk. The presenter is so tuned in - allows guests to talk or not talk however it works. Loved her interaction with Anthony Horowitz- I thought he was going to be a bit rude at first but she drew him out and we learned about his anxiety, even about cleaning the house in preparation for her visit. I love it. It puts me in a great mood and transports me outside for a walk with a dog (I don’t actually have a dog, but may some day and now, I am prepared). Great work! Thank you!

    Really fab...
Love this podcast. So chill & fun... but Emily gets under the skin of her guests in the sweetest way. Walking & talking us the most relaxed format for anyone to talk & that shows. Her explaining slang to Paxman is hilarious 😂😂😂

Load of nonsense. Another podcast or media output based on the circle jerk of people who know people. No content, just people. Waste of time

Emily has such a calming voice and her compassion comes through in every interview. Now that I have a dog I listen while I walk her. This podcast has helped (in small ways) to deal with my own anxiety. Thanks Emily and please keep walking the dog!

    Such a good listen!
Such natural conversations. I like that you can hear the sounds of the people around the parks. Emily is a great interviewer.
  • this is the best show ever!!
    Emily Dean Walking the Dog
Have been bonding with Emily every Saturday morning on Frank Skinner’s show for years - she is quick and smart and funny. Feels like a friend after all this time. So I knew her new podcast would be excellent. Emily + her interesting friends + dogs! Perfect. Love her and love the new show. Well done Emily.

    Great!
Just listened to the Gary Lineker interview. I’m a fan of Emilys from The Frank Skinner podcast. This format showcases her quick, warm, erudite personality to a tee and we all know a doggie disarms and relaxes people, so its a perfect mix. I’ve subscribed and looking forward to working my way through them. Ta!

Brilliant - stroll in the park!
As a long time reader of the Frank Skinner podcast every Saturday I have long been an admirer of the quick witted DME. This podcast of hers shows not how funny she is but also what a generous listener she can be. The show has become an essential part of my week. It’s a virtual breath of fresh air. Jon

    Love it!
Emily’s got a great conversational interview technique. When’s she going to get Frank Skinner out for a power walk?

    Amazing!
Such a cool concept for a podcast, literally walking the dog and having a chat whilst doing so. Even if you don’t know who some of the people who are being interviewed it’s still worth a listen. Emily asks great questions and there’s never a dull moment.

Great conversation with people at their most relaxed
Love the podcast. I’m a three cat family but this podcast really makes me want to get a dog.

    A great listen
I was already a fan Emily's from her work on Frank Skinner's podcast, her Twitter feed, and her extremely moving Times article (pardon my stalking), but this series is well worth a subscription, even if you don't know her. Here, Emily is as quick and witty as existing fans might expect, but first and foremost she's a very strong interviewer. When my sister recommended I listen to Walking the Dog, she said "you'll be thinking, 'That's so interesting; I wish she'd ask them about ____' and then she does!" I agree wholeheartedly. Emily always steers the conversation in interesting directions, but never takes over. Subscribe.

    Wonderful!
Emily Dean is not only hilarious, quick witted and completely charming, but she is also incredibly smart, inspiring and very entertaining. This show is a funny and easy going walk in the park - quiet literally. Her brilliant sense of humor, great line of questioning and witty anecdotes, had me wishing I had a dog and that she was my best friend! I only came upon this charming podcast, when it was mentioned in another show she co hosts with Frank Skinner - a brilliantly entertaining, laugh out loud, feel good show about current events and life in general, which I also highly recommend. Emily could pretty much do a show on houseflies and I'd tune in, so I was surprised that I didn't know about this podcast til now. My only two cents to contribute here would be to call the podcast 'Walking the Dog, with Emily Dean' to make it easier for other listeners to find- Other than that, she can do no wrong. Thrilled to have found this, looking forward to catching up and to hearing more from her in the future. Thank you!
