Tuckertuck347Best music podcastI cannot believe how good this show is. Tully is absolutely seamless with his facts while intertwining bands, eras and time stamps on music eras. The amount of amazing info I get from this is a true treat!!!!
-
Cheese toastThe memory lane of my teenage years! So much fun to look back at The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!I especially love your shows focused on music! You and McGrath are endlessly entertaining together!
-
lazybr82Great perspectiveTully always knows how to tell the story. Whether it’s the top hits of the era or a great article or book. Good interview and love listening to and hearing what’s next
-
MoescienceBallerLighthearted and full of delicious delicious gravy. Great show!
-
rollinbossGreat showThoughtful, funny and broadly entertaining. Love the new music retrospectives.
-
JoetathMike TullyThis man is funny smart and cool. Listen if you are also smart funny and cool. If you don’t listen that means your are indeed NOT funny, NOT smart, and NOT cool.
-

Cardenio333Great showsAlways enjoyed Tully’s interview skills and dry humor. My favorite part of Jason Ellis is his side comments. Tully Time, his new venture is delightful. It feels like being in a conversation with a friend who spends time finding the most fun stories. Can not recommend enough. He also does an incredible job of talking to authors who have written about heavy subjects and asks questions that make their material both easier to understand and light enough to not end an episode bummed but in depth enough to truly understand even if you didn’t get to the book. I truly can nor recommend these pods enough, the Patreon is also incredibly well worth it as it has a lot more content and bounces from silly news stories to philosophical discussions to answering crowd questions that range from deeply thought provoking to silly (what would another job interest be: spoiler, mail man) Makes the boring parts of a day much faster.
-
CS6745Great podcastMike Tully had to work with within the confines of the Jason Ellis show in many respects and I always wanted to hear him take a deeper dive into some of those subjects. This podcast is such a good platform for that, the diversity of guests’ backgrounds is impressive and keeps the show fresh. I drive long distance a lot and this is one of several go-to shows that never fails to educate and entertain.
-
Adoll17AmazingCame here because I listen to the Jain Ellis show but honestly not one of my top podcast
-
cb2214Tully is the man⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
-
GrendelsnapGreat showI came to this show from the Jason Ellis show, but I love Mikes comedy and I'd listen to him talk about literally anything. Intelligent, well prepared, very easy to listen to. I don't think I'd listen to anyone else talk about 80's music. haha
-
dipsy30Surprisingly informativePerfect for people who like to do deeper dive of musical from the 80’s onward. Best episodes are with Mark McGrath, the rest are hit or miss for me.
-
TyfgnmWhat we all can useTully is amazingly adept at being a sensible human who interviews and converses with others, who are also mostly good humans. Both delightful and insightful, this podcast is a relaxing and informational listen. I don’t really care for the loud, cheesy podcast (former Sirius) where he supports a lesser talent but Mike does himself proud here with genuine conversation with interesting guests without trash advertisements for WWE type sheister products.
-
DEWolfe44Always fun and fascinatingI have loved Tully for years from The Jason Ellis show but he’s really great in his own right. I especially love the music discussions with Mark McGrath but I enjoy his interviews too! Highly recommend!
-
DigduhTully is one of those guys…Everyone has at very least met one of “those” guys. Genuinely smart, kind and interesting with a brain like a library for all of the most interesting and little known facts about…well a lot of stuff, but music in particular. He and Mark McGrath (lead singer and writer for Sugar Ray who also knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING when it comes to music) make an amazing team when we’re lucky enough to be graced with his presence on the pod. Tully also brings on a lot of wonderful, smart and funny guests to discuss interesting things you didn’t know where even a thing. Stuff and people you won’t hear on other pods. Great intro and theme song as well (written and performed by the host). Don’t sleep on this one. I can’t count how much great music and great books this show has turned me on to.
-
filthyjyhnerGreat showTommy Lennon and Mikey should start a smiths cover band , just saying
-

-
drizbrizThe best! This is one of the funniest, intellectual, entertaining podcasts out there. It’s so underrated and I wish Tully could have at least 2 to 3 podcast per week. Great guests too!
-

WK PocketPrincess1981 Music TalkThe year I was born. LOVE listening to Tully and Mark discuss the music of the year I was born that I grew up listening to with my Dad (RIP). Keep up the great work guys.
-
$ TalksThe GoodsMike Tully is silver pants wearing, hair metal impresario that leaves no stone unturned… about new releases in ‘81. And when Mr Mark McGrath gets on board, hold on for some obscure band references fast and furious, just the way I like it.
-
djdeilTha showInteresting topics on music history- i learn and agree. Mostly. Fu%k fleetwood mac!
-
justinmac13Tully’s the ManAnother great episode with special guest David Sirota. I enjoy how Tully gets in depth with his interest and strays from the path most of us be knows him for. Keep at it, Sir
-
EJPolaskiTully's the Man!The glue that holds the Ellis Show together, Mike Tully is by far the smartest man in the room. Give his Patreon a subscribe as well, I think his best content lives on that platform. Educated, experienced and a bit off-kilter, Tully's opinion on music and world events is one I hold very highly.
-
Wheat flexTruly one of the best!Tully has a great way with people, is well informed on tons of subjects all while managing to be incredibly funny while looking at all sides of an issue (one of my favorite things him). Been listening to all of the podcasts and shows he’s been on for awhile now and can safely say Tully has made my days better and made quarantine at least somewhat bearable. Thanks for all the information and laughs on this show and all the others! ~ morgan

Fish groupeyAlways entertaining!Mike Tully brings the heat every time he starts his podcast. He is sharp, self-effacing, and a very intuitive interviewer. His personality really translates to this media. He offers a very versatile skill set that can vary wildly from serious to silly, in all of the best ways. He is the real “every man”, but personable. He calls out his faults while showing how intelligent he is. Keep up the good work!
-
Tophat GiraffeListen to Tully & Dr. HartThe interview with Dr. Hart needs to be heard by every single person in America. I can not like this episode more and appreciated it immensely. 5 stars is underrating this episode.
-
WadeMcCluskyLove the showBeen listening for about a year and a half. The lively Mark McGrath episodes are by far my favorite, but I thoroughly enjoy every episode and Tully is a great interviewer. He makes topics I would generally not care for seem extremely engrossing and provides lots of insightful comments. Would recommend to everyone.
-
KingD63Wendy O. WilliamsAbsolutely love you and Mark breaking down the eighties, I’d never heard of Wendy O. Williams or the plasmatics. After a quick google, I recognized her from USA Up! All nights viewing of reform school girls. What a legend. Thanks for the back story
