The first season is amazing, later not so much
It took me a few listens to get into this show but once I did, it was amazing. The first season and brushtown stories are pure gold. The second season is good. Fuzztown stories was meh. I stopped listening a few episodes into season 3 because I realized I didn’t care about it at all anymore and the songs/jokes just weren’t as good. But when it was good, it was great.

    Wow!
I didn’t start this podcast with high hopes, but wow was I wrong! This is such an indescribable show but an experience that should not be missed. The characters and music are great. Production is fantastic and story is quirky and interesting! Definitely worth the listen!

    Bewildering But A Must Listen
I had no idea what I was in for with this show, even after someone tried to explain it to me. It's like a weird mix of Little Shop of Horrors, Avenue Q, a noir detective novel, and... a kid's TV show about oral hygeine. And that's just the beginning. This show is immensely entertaining. Every time you think you have a handle on what the world is like, something new happens that expands the setting in a way that doesn't ask you to understand, it just expects you to hop onboard and roll with it. And it's delightful. It's a hilarious, satirical musical that tackles everything from awful family dynamics to religion to politics. It's absurdist fun the whole way through and is like nothing you've ever heard before.

    A wild ride
Utterly fantastic podcast, with one of the most ridiculous, yet shockingly cohesive worlds. As someone who generally dislikes musicals, this podcast has drawn me in since episode one, and had only gotten better. It’s “good” from the start, and progressively builds on itself, growing into a huge, chaotic story that is completely engrossing to listen too.

A beautiful and bonkers musical rampage
The layered schemings and rich lore of Game of Thrones and Divine Cities, the absurdist childlike joy of Mike Detective and Wonder Showzen, all thrown in a blender with the magnetic and theatrical pacing of Crazy Ex Girlfriend or Hairspray or Buffy’s “Once More With Feeling” or Galavant. Just wild and weird and sumptuous and full and beautifull. Needs - nay deserves - more love and attention from absolutely everyone. I usually don’t go in for comedy audio dramas, I tend to swaddle myself in a viper’s nest of horror, but this is the exception that proves the rule. Nothing like it before or since, nor anything quite so dynamic. You owe it to yourself to hop on board this train. (P.S. plz provide more complete transcripts on your website!!)

A Podcast We Can All Get Behind (and Panglo)
It’s difficult to find a podcast that my daughters (seventeen and eight) both enjoy. After many car trips filled with informational podcasts they begged for something different. Somehow we stumbled upon this...this...well, it’s beautifully indescribable. Sure, eight asks the occasional “What does that mean?” but any adult concepts fly over her little peanut-shaped head and she just taps her tiny feet along to the extremely catchy tunes (she lives for bootlegs). Eighteen and I love the clever punnery and WE ALL WOULD DIE FOR PANGLO. Top shelf stuff, friends.

    Amazing
This is an amazing podcast. Right up there with the likes of The Beef and Dairy Network Podcast and The Adventure Zone. I cannot give this enough praise. Just listen to it.

    HIGH QUALITY CONTENT EVERY EPISODE
It took me two times to get into this podcast, but hey, it took me two times to get into Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, one of my favorite books! In the same way, this quickly became one of my favorite podcasts. It’s hilarious and weird as heck. The singing is amazing, the story is really entertaining, the music is incredibly well written and diverse! Would definitely recommend to a friend who likes crazy stuff! PS: I high key have feelings for Flosso...

    Season 2 songs sound recycled
I love this podcast. I really do. Where else would I get a hilarious running joke where a person keeps yelling silence, weird tangents about Belgium and werehams, and a song that draws parallels between being an underappreciated woman in politics and being an underappreciated boob in politics. Also, it’s a musical! And yet, I feel the need to point out that while season 1 had noticeable variety to the songs, with the parody on amateur community theater musicals being a highlight, season 2 has settled into a rut. Bar the few snippets that parody Broadway musicals, every song has been a fast paced rock song that sounds exactly like the one that preceded it. It has diminished my enthusiasm for this show somewhat. I hope they explore more genres in the future.

    A friend suggest it
And it didn't disappoint. Now anything he suggests I am obliged to try. But the show, yes, the show is great. So creative, so fun, and Melissa Lusk's golden voice is so sunny and bright that I suggest wearing spf50 while listening.

Weird and wonderful in the best way
I binged the first season in about 3 days, and then listened to it over again. And then made my best friend listen to it (she thanked me). The writing, music, acting, sound design, jokes, and weirdness of this strange little pod are all phenomenal. If you like musicals, puns, genre satire, sci-fi or any show you've caught on Adult Swim at 3AM, you'll love this pod.

My favorite part of the week
I’m not usually a reviewer. I’m trying to change that habit, but I just feel too busy. But I had to share how much I love this show. About two weeks ago, I stumbled upon it, and the idea of a musical podcast drew me in. I listened to the whole show in just a couple days, and became abolutely obsessed. The writing is so witty and clever, and the songs are honestly better than some Broadway showtunes. With each relisten, there’s always a new plotline or aspect you find yourself appreciating. It starts of so simple, but soon naturally builds itself into such a cosmic story that it’s amazing to startover and think, “Oh yeah, it all began with this murder!” What I love about this show most though is it’s not afraid to be different. It embraces its crazy characters and stories, and makes you love them too. It can take what seems to be the weirdest characters and make you care about them as you would any friend or family member. I’ve already bought some merch, and I’m saving up to buy all of the available albums. I cannot recommend this show enough.

    Fabulious
I cannot express in words how happy I feel every time I hear the intro music to this show. Great stories, and hilarious triple-entantes! You'll need to rinse and take a double-spit take!

    Welcome (and stay)
This show is fantastic. I was initally skeptical about a musical but I find myself singing the introduction theme every day and wanting more... Also, I'm compelled to brush my teeth, floss, rinse, and spit. I think I've chosen my side in this war. **cue terminator theme**

The weirdest thing I've ever heard
This show is the weirdest thing I've ever heard and I love it. The music is catchy as hell, it's surreal while still maintaining great internal logic, the plot is shockingly suspenseful, and there's a good deal of character growth. Fall of the House of Sunshine is unlike anything else you'll ever hear, and when you listen you'll be so happy you went down this crazy road.

    Originality at it's best
So I've binged through 8 episodes today, so I might have a bit of a problem. Being original in audiodrama isn't that hard, however, being GOOD and original is, and they do both. The creativity that they have in coming up with the songs and fun storyline is amazing and is on another level. The songs are catchy and can easily get stuck in your head, and not in a bad way. I look forward to continuing my binge.

    Quite an intriguing podcast!
I didn't quite expect content like this coming from such a name for a podcast. Great voice acting, I chuckled a few times! :p

Child’s Tv Show Meets Dark Mystery
This podcast is so twisted and funny. I have recommended this podcast to my dentist because I’m pretty sure dental humor is a requirement for those types. It has hilarious musical numbers that are quite catchy.

    Clever Noir
This is a comedy, musical, noir story. Think Death To Smoochy, but SWF and a musical. Hard to describe, but truly entertaining. Subscribed!

Hilarious audio fiction show: Drama! Comedy! Songs! - but its a podcast!
I listen to very few audio fiction podcasts. This show is definitely in my top 3. Clever script, awesome actors - and incredibly well-written (and often catchy) songs. Plus, its very funny. If you like musical plays or movies, why not enjoy one that you can see in your head? I loved it from Episode 1 -- and I think you will too!

    Incredibly well done
There really should be more podcast musicals. But, Fall of the House of Sunshine is doing a fantastic job of filling the void while we wait for the era of podcast theater to take off. It's funny and fun and the music is fantastic. I simply cannot wait for a second season, and hope to see this team go on to do more and more after. Please check them out if you haven't yet. I want nothing more than to see these folks shine!
