    Practical, sound information
This is a no-nonsense source for clinical and business information for psychologists running a practice that has a focus on or integration of testing. The episodes are just the right length, and I have found them helpful on most occasions. Greatly appreciated in then midst of a niche for clinicians that often is heavily focused on self-marketing of coaching courses alone.

    Great for school psychs!
This podcast is a treasure trove for school psychologists. I have no interest in private practice personally, so I just skip over the business-y episodes for the assessment/ clinical talks. So much great info. Thanks for doing what you do!

    Oh brother….
I’ve always been skeptical when someone is called a “sell-out”; everyone has a right to make money and ‘make hay while the sun is shining’. But… wow, this podcast used to be so good. Now, however, I understand that the host needs to make money to pay for the time etc. of doing a podcast, but come on… talking about how “honored” you are to work with so and so?!?! Please. Spare us. If that’s how you really feel… that’s a little weird. If you’re just trying to sell it for the sponsor, dial it back.

Dr. Sharp gives business owners practical tips to growing a business and also addresses the deeper issues in our lives such as personal boundaries, work and life balance, and enjoying our work. He has authentic conversations with amazing guests. All psychologists should follow this show.

I have learned so much about business techniques for therapy practices from Dr. sharp and his guests. Love the transparency around testing new techniques and measuring the results - then sharing the results with the listeners. Thank you!

    Pertinent Content and Engaging Speakers
The host, Dr. Sharp, is humble and knowledgeable and has fantastic, often well-known guests who are experts on a variety of topics. I started off cherry-picking episodes that sounded most interesting, but I’ve since subscribed because, although episodes focused on private practice don’t apply to me as a school psychologist, there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained overall. Thanks so much for bringing relevant content and being transparent with the idea that we all have room to grow and learn! The more we share knowledge and connect, the better we can serve our students/clients.

So in love with this podcast
I absolutely love this podcast! Dr. Sharp has amazing guests and I’ve learned so much. The topics range from different professional development topics such as assessment of learning disabilities, ADHD autism etc, to strategies and techniques for business development, and my favorite of all time - interviews with assessment psychologists from different countries. Thanks!!!

Great resource for any therapist or practice leader!
This is a very valuable resource for any practice leader in the mental and behavioral health field, especially if you offer (or are planning to offer) testing and assessment services. It's a good idea to have a notepad and pen handy for notes and action items! Even if you are in a broader practice, you can learn a lot of actionable tips that apply to any area of therapy (i.e. how to request a fee increase, etc.)

    Therapeutic Assessment
Heard this podcast! The lady needs to review the APA ethics section on the duty to protect the confidentiality of tests...very “shaky” rationalization! Bill Moroney Ohio State Bd of Psych: 185

    Great find!
I’m new to the podcast and so glad I found it! I’ve been going back and listening to previous episodes. I had no idea such a wealth of resources existed in the field. I even contacted a previous guest to discuss their episode and the guest was wonderful and so helpful. I feel significantly more prepared in pursuing the start to my career today than I did a few month ago, pre- podcast. Thank you for the excellent resource! Really enjoying your discussions.

    Recommended...with reservations
I love that this podcast exists. I don’t know where I’d be without it- certainly less knowledgeable that’s for sure! Constructively, I wish that the time on each recording was used a bit more efficiently. I don’t usually care for sooo much introduction to each episode and I could use fewer long pauses during the interviews for “yeahhh...gosh...wowww...”. I recommended this to a colleague and her reaction was similar: “I liked it...but I was almost all the way to the office before the interview started and then we didn’t get into the good stuff until I was already parking.” My thoughts exactly. Not sure we always need the origin story for each interviewee. That’s my feedback. I want to stress that this pod fills a real need and there’s nothing else like it. I learn a ton from each episode. Thanks, Jeremy!

Demystifies testing for those of us in private practice!
This is a wonderfully organized and prepared podcast with valuable insight into owning a successful testing practice! Dr. Sharp provides humorous "lessons learned" on his own journey and concrete action steps for anyone looking to either add testing or market testing in their practice. With so many podcasts out there for people in private practice, the Testing Psychologist is unique because it really focuses in on assessment and how to finance those expensive psychological evals!
