    Expanding thoughts
I’m a first time new mom and when I get up 5 times a night to nurse my baby, I turn on this show and the episodes keep me awake with curiosity and interest. The hosts are sincere and silly sometimes. I love it. Thank you and keep it up! I know I will be.

Listen if you don’t need to have to.
It’s really great. But I like questions and don’t need a big reveal. Also, please stop the “it’s so nice out there…” ad. It makes my skin crawl

    One of the best
This is definitely one of the best science podcasts I’ve listened to and that’s coming from a real lover of science who’s listened to quite a few. This podcast is entertaining, really accessible for non-scientists but not dumbed down to the point that you feel patronised. Thank you to the CrowdScience team!

They’ve gotten better over the years
It took them a while, but they’ve seem to hit their stride. Some of the episodes are frivolous, but overall it’s pretty good. They’ve come a long way in science reporting. Please keep improving!

    Witty & Informative
A typically brilliant BBC production. If the UK were to disappear from the Earth today, the BBC would serve as a shining memory and gift.

    Great podcast
I like this podcast, Marny Chesterton is a good host and most of the topics they investigate are fascinating. I recommend it!

    Listener based
Science is so varied and by asking for listeners to pose their questions, they are able to really cover so many unique and interesting topics.

    Should I boycott palm oil?
Issue with one of the arguments adduced for not reducing palm-oil consumption: Allegedly, if less PALM oil were produced in Malaysia — more SOYBEAN oil would be produced by clear-cutting the Amazon rain-forest. However, news reports have stated that more and more Palm Oil is being IN South America, including the shrinking rain-forest. SO: less palm-oil consumption benefits biodiversity in BOTH Malaysia AND the Amazon rain-forest. Another point that was blithely thrown in, not as an argument but as a passing tidbit: (I paraphrase) “Many Malaysian Families have become wealthier due to palm oil, so that THEY’VE BEEN ABLE TO BUY CARS” — as if that in itself were a marvelous outcome.

    Fun Science
The show is presented in a fun and interesting way while also giving the scientific information needed to answer the chosen listener’s question.

    Interesting and exciting
Finally! I have been looking for a podcast just like this! I am an American from Florida but find myself subscribing to many BBC programs. I love the excitement, curiosity, and science!

    Great Science Show
Really informative show. I recommend listening to the episodes with topics you’re interested in; some I skip. The 2018 episode “Is Vaping Bad for Your Health?” was phenomenal and is what turned me on to this show. I immediately told a friend when I heard the episode, and I hope there is a follow-up.
  • Karsten Aichholz
Not focused on providing the best answer
It’s a well produced show that makes for ‘easy listening’. The reason I unsubscribed is that it seems it’s more about making a story than answering a question. Crowd-inspired, factual non-fiction would be a better title. Think documentary, rather than science.

Facts presented in a fun way!
Marnie Chesterton Et al. Do a brilliant job of presenting science in a fun and interesting way. Marnie has the cutest voice/personality at the BBC.

    compelling stories about compelling topics
crowdscience is by far my favorite science podcast. the premise - answering questions from its audience - sounds gimmicky, but it really works. people have a wide variety questions, some of which I've thought about, most of which are new to me. the answers are extensively researched and the podcast is well produced and compelling. definitely worth a listen.

    Your science questions answered
You don't need to be a geek to get this show. Popular science program in which each episode investigates a question posed by a listener. The tone of the show is enthusiastic and each episode has enough material to get you thinking.

    So interesting
This is a wonderful science show that I first heard on the radio but could not remember to tune in to each week. Now with the podcast I have the wonderful opportunity to listen to all the shows. Very down to earth presenter and producer-they make even complicated science quite accessible.
