TRBL9836Take your Vitamins! If you care about your health and take your vitamins, this show needs to be part of your “daily’s” for your mental and emotional health! I stumbled across the Studley’s when I began individual counseling needing something extra than my weekly session. This remains my top listened to show and I cannot begin to express the positive impact it has had in my life and my marriage. The messages/topics seem to come when I need them most and it’s changed my interactions with my wife, children, and others for the better. It’s also incredible how the content leaves a mark in my mind which has encouraged positive habits that have become subliminal in nature. For example, their 100 days of Q&A. I began expressing my gratitude to my wife and didn’t notice at first what inspired it, but realized a couple weeks later that it was Seth and Melanie in the show. It led to her reciprocating the same and the connection between us has become more meaningful! Thank you Seth & Melanie!!

Trompete87A Huge BlessingMy wife and I have been struggling for years and we can’t seem to get past certain issues. We have been to some pretty dark places mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We have all the “tools” from counseling, but we have always felt like we are the only ones who struggle this badly. We discovered this podcast about a year ago, and it has been a blessing ever since. We will have some crazy arguments or read something in scripture or a book about marriage and somehow AoU will post an episode the same day or the next day about that same topic describing it in a way that we can relate to directly. Case in point: spiritual warfare. We discovered a book by Tim Muehlhoff on the topic and began reading it. Just as the book started to sound a lot like our marriage, Melanie posted the first Spiritual Warfare episode and shared what she and Seth were going through. I cannot begin to describe what a blessing and encouragement those two episodes were to our marriage. Between Dr. Muehlhoff’s book and the AoU episodes, we have begun developing healthier habits to properly guard our marriage against the plans of Satan, including being more disciplined in prayer and setting prayer alarms. If your marriage is not in the best place and you are looking for hope, know that Seth and Melanie get it. I pray that God will continue to use their ministry to bless your marriage as He has ours. There is hope in Christ and this couple is a testimony to that hope. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.

Amy Dudley ❤️🛡⚔️👑Valuable resource 💕💕💕"Anatomy of Us" is a valuable resource for couples looking to strengthen their relationship (we’re 27 years in) or gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics that drive successful marriages! This podcast explores the intricacies of faith and marriage while covering a variety of topics such as communication, intimacy, and conflict resolution. The hosts (super dynamic and fun to listen too) are a married couple with children who offer their personal insights and experiences on these topics. SO powerful! Check it out!

paph491bajspGreat no-nonsense marriage podcastI love this one. There’s some minor cussing and such, but not too bad really. They’re really just in your face and upfront and direct. I quite enjoy it. I’m used to different names for some topics, but it’s good info. Only downside, they talk about wanting to be rich too much for me.

Resilient ManAuthenticReal people doing important work. Love this podcast.

KAB1728Was Happy in My Marriage but Now We’re Thriving!I’ve been with my spouse for 11 years now, and married 3. We were middle school sweethearts so we kind of grew up together. I started listening to this podcast after getting pregnant with our second baby. I wasn’t unhappy with my marriage but I knew what stress a new baby can bring so I figured I’d look for pointers to strengthen our relationship before baby got here. I also wanted to work on improving communication skills. I never would have imagined the impact this podcast would have. Not only are we happy in our marriage, but we’re THRIVING! Our communication has improved, and we’re working through things that we didn’t even realize was having an effect on our marriage. This podcast hits it all; communication, sex, parenting, family, financial. And it’s all discussed in a comfortable format that normalizes all marriage problems. Would recommend for any body; single, dating, married, or divorced!

Me&YouJust okListened to a few episodes. Not much useful content. If your are early in your marriage and young in faith maybe some things can apply or you can identify.
-
inspector3376AwesomeThey are great hosts. They are real down to earth and make you feel comfortable.Seths motivation is contagious. They talk about real issues and present practical ways of dealing with issues within a marriage. And I listen regularly on Apple podcasts. This is an awesome podcast

ArtZFollowerGeneralizations and machoismMelanie has a lot of good stuff to say. Seth talks over her constantly and spouts typical hyper-masculine generalizations from the 1950s. Men aren’t a group of clones who think, feel, want and need the same things. It’s the same reductive toxic Christianity-influenced material you get at men’s retreats. No thanks.
-
ThreelittlepeasLook elsewhere if you really need help…I just don’t get the sense that I’m listening to advice from a happy couple with a healthy relationship. This feels like a conversation between a couple with a lot of issues that aren’t being worked through, which is exactly what I’m going through…so it’s less than helpful. The one thing I’ve gotten from it is that I am not speaking to my husband in a very kind way & I’m really lucky he’s put up with it for so long. I hear a lot of myself in the way Melanie speaks to Seth and it makes me cringe.

18382894939PhenomenalStumbling across this podcast has been so beneficial. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time & I can’t wait to continue to grow. Thanks Melanie & Seth. You guys are great ! Real & raw. Strongly recommend this podcast. Appreciate you both ! 😀

GreeneyedvikingKeep up the good workYall are doing great, glad to hear the realness and see your growth as time goes on! A word of encouragement in recognizing our roles in marriages is always a good thing, and your alls candid conversations are helpful in seeing how a couple can disagree and work through issues- sometimes in real time even haha... thanks for the vulnerability and your abilities to share your journey as we out here in radioland drive along with your voices as company. Cheers! Leonard

Alex12795Love these guysI have shared this podcast with a lot of my family and friends, have to say they are a breath of fresh air when covering very serious (not always!) topics relating to life love and marriage. If you have a long drive and questions about how you can grow in your marriage, this is the couple you want to listen to. I have no way to help you two as much as you have helped me, but hopefully I can help you get that number 1000 ;) Keep it up y’all! Alex

ReadyandRestedMy favorite episode yet!!!!!!I started listening to y’all during my 10 year anniversary to my beautiful wife. I love the vibe you have going. I just got done listening to the latest episode on life design. This was one of the most candid conversations on this topic I have heard yet. At moments I thought you two were gonna mouth spar. Then other moments I could tell how much you compliment each other. Btw saw Thile back in October (it was amazing!) and I would love to see Tool someday. Keep up the encouragement!
-
Patrick McCraryThank youThis was an incredibly well thought out and interesting podcast. The topics discussed gave me an in depth look into the difficulties couples face and underlying complications. Thank you
-
Paige191000Like it!Definitely a lot of good information especially in regard to marriage and sex. However, I feel like it’s kind of one sided in some areas with the wife host taking charge of the convo. Would love to hear more of a perspective of women who actually do want sex in their marriage or are more of the initiator. Most of the women I’ve talked to in my life have noticed that they care more about sex than their male partner. So, I feel like the dynamic has or is changing.
-
MLFQuackInspiring and down to earthYou’ll enjoy listening to Melani and Seth as they shared the struggles and succeed in marriage, sex and family as described in your bio. I am still new to the show and been binging on the episode. I have subscribed to Anatomy of Marriage for a while now, but did not give the much time or simply saying, was not investing my time until now. Love your show and keep up the great work.
-
teamhaysSeriously down to earthLove this podcast! I’ve been listening to it for a few years now and have probably listened to 75% of the episodes. There’s some amazing stuff in here! You will get hooked on Melanie and Seth! Keep the episodes coming please! Love you guys!
-
gldengirlThank you!I recently discovered this podcast and binged it! There is so much wisdom, encouragement, and practical advice to be found. There’s a lot to be gained from this simply for topics that aren’t “allowed“ in spiritual circles. I do agree that you have to proceed with caution, but that pertains to literally anything in life. Just because you think you have similar Christian views does not mean you have the SAME views. That being said, my favorite ones seem to be ones with guests. 😬 The ones with just the two of them are a little cringey for me and hard to listen. Dynamic is a little too “woman is always right” for me, regardless of the topic. But that’s just my personal preference and I truly am grateful for the contact you put out to encourage and help marriages! Thank you!
-
Da TfisterAmazing, practical and very fun podcast!Seth and Melanie are absolutely amazing! Their podcast is so incredibly practical, actionable, and a blast to listen to! My wife and I have been listening for a few weeks now and have communicated more in the past two weeks about deep topics than we had in the entire year. This is a game changer for sure!!! 1,000% worthwhile!

ashhic8903Best Christian marriage podcast out there!Luv, luv, luv this podcast and Seth and Melanie 💗 Such down to earth, real life discussions on marriage that have helped both my husband and myself know that we are not alone and that working through our “stuff” is perfectly normal! Luv all the family talk, as well! Just a great, wisdom-filled, fun, and funny show. Keep up the good work!
-
rachelbonzIncredible Resource for your Marriage!I absolutely love this podcast! I have been listening to Seth and Melanie since season one and this podcast has been such a great resource and conversation starter for my husband and I. I began listening when I was searching for solid marriage advice while engaged, and I have been hooked ever since! I feel like the hosts are my friends and I’ve never even met them. They are so approachable and real, unafraid to talk about the difficult and uncomfortable things that many Christians shy away from. I recommend this podcast to married couples all the time. I gain wisdom every time I listen. Will be a loyal listener forever!
-
reginasuchinProceed with cautionI think this podcast provides some foundation advice based on the couples personal experience. I’m not sure about true Christian values though because they seem to lean a bit more on the progressive side. This is becoming a major issue when it comes to the Christian faith so if you do plan on listening, as with anything, I would take the advice with a grain of salt.
-
justinpardeeGreat Podcast, Better CoachesI haven’t missed a single episode of this podcast since the very first episode and EVERY SINGLE ONE has helped me be a much better person, husband, and father. We like it so much we hired Seth & Melanie as coaches and that was an even better experience. Can’t recommend this show enough.

Lainerd6727LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!I love you guys SO much! I stumbled upon Anatomy of Marriage at exactly the right time, when I was really struggling personally and within my marriage. When I would hear your voices at the beginning of the show I took a huge sigh of relief. It was a bright spot in some really difficult days. Y’all changed my life and helped me/are still helping me to vastly improve my marriage. I learn something practical and applicable every time I listen. I love your willingness to be vulnerable and real, how you never stop seeking and growing and your joy in always sharing what you’ve learned is so evident. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, you announced the start of Anatomy of Sex! Signed up on Patreon today! Anyway, thank y’all so much for all you do. You guys are truly an inspiration. Much love, Laine ❤️

Charlie-MoakReal advise for real world marriages. The perfect balance of fun and easy listening while somehow still managing to tackle difficult and complex topics. For each episode I have listened to I have gleaned advise or suggestions that I can actually implement in my relationships (not just my marriage but also with other family members). I also really ENJOY the time I spend listening, I don’t feel like I am trudging through a boring marriage seminar. Thanks for all the work you do, I always appreciate when you are willing to look at senarios from a variety of point of views and look for the validity of opinions and feelings on both sides of issues.

adriana cisneros 06If you’re in relationship this is for you !Excellent advice from a real marriage.

_rayymorganQuestion...My wife and i recently have decided to watch porn together during our sexy time, not every time but about a couple times a month. What are your thoughts on a mutual use of porn and how it can effect the marriage in the long run?
-
Kristen WIllamanExceeded ExpectationsHonestly, this podcast gives me more to talk about with my husband, and I love that. We get caught up in our life and the way we do things that I think sometimes we forget that there are other people in the world in the same place that we are. We are newly married, and I love that we are able to have open conversations of such vast topics because of this podcast. Conversations we never would have had, had we not listened to it here. I love this podcast! I can’t seem to find anything but the morning ones though, I’d love to listen to the rest as well.
-
A&H+3Breaking ChainsThank you for talking about the things I’m afraid to say out loud! It’s freeing to hear your stories and know perhaps I’m not the only human who feels some of the big emotions I have felt. The things I hate and find comfort in simultaneously. Your show is helping me to break through chains of past hurts and traumas, changing the trajectory of our family and gives me hope to seeing the other side. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the new shows you’re working on!

jtmckerDisappointingI just started listening to the episode titled “how do I heal from an emotional affair?”and it was very disappointing. You guys clearly don’t actually understand what the woman was asking or how much pain she was clearly in. The answer of “you’re healing from an broken trust”, was just rude and insulting in my opinion. You don’t seem to have a real understanding of what she is going through or really understand what she was asking. She has every right to know what her husband shared with another woman after committing and making promises to her. He had no right and she had no decision in any of that. He should have to account for his actions with honesty. He did those things. If he can’t be honest with her about that, no matter how uncomfortable it is for him, why would she trust him about anything else? I hope she didn’t take to heart the insensitive answer you gave her. Perhaps advice, especially in marriage, or more specifically in regards to affair healing where there is so much pain, just isn’t your forte. Think about what you’re saying and how the person receiving those words will receive them. She’s likely going through one of the most difficult times in her life and you basically told her she was stupid and to get over it. If we don’t want to discuss certain things that we have done because we are ashamed or maybe too selfish (referring to her husband), perhaps we shouldn’t do those things. Surely you can do better than further insult a heartbroken woman whose whole world has been flipped and turned upside down leaving her questioning everything she thought she knew.

great app! 889I appreciate the transparencyThey don’t pretend that learning to love our spouses as Godwants us to is easy.
-
vijo22220DisappointingI wanted to like this podcast. I gave them several tries, but I just cannot continue to listen. The show is lead on to be Christian based, but they step too far into agreement with the world for me to be comfortable with listening. They mention being okay with a few worldly activities that are stumbling blocks for me in my walk with the Lord. Unfortunately, they may be trying to appeal to nonchristians too much, or they aren’t very discipled ☹️
-
HannahG&GExactly what I have been searching forI have been married for 7 years with two small kids. I have been searching for guidance. Something that would help explain why I feel the things that I do, how to understand what my needs are, how to understand my husbands needs and how to communicate all of that. I downloaded a random Christian devotional app and in the app I found a podcast that you were guests on. I was instantly hooked. You both are so relatable and real and the content speaks to me. I love that you talk about your flaws and failures and never present yourselves as a couple with everything figured out. So many couples, especially Christian couples attempt to present a storybook version of themselves that is so far from reality. I cannot express how much this real, raw perspective is needed. Thank you for doing this. I am so excited to continue to go through these episodes. I hope that so many other married couples see this podcast.
-
Amanda BorregoGave me hope!I can’t believe how transparent this couple is. Reading all of the “marriage help” books makes you feel like you can never prosper inside of your marriage because the authors/ therapists lack all relatability!!! Not the case here, these guys give me so much hope because they share how they used to be in the same boat! Thank you thank you thank you!
-
BrokeBabeVery Misleading1. They claim to be Christians but consistently promote unbiblical ideas. They say that Biblical living is “grey”. Although they pray at the beginning of their episodes, they are completely unashamed for promoting a sinful lifestyle. 2. Melanie is constantly disrespecting and belittling Seth. It has gotten worse over time (I began listening early on). She promotes herself and her own ideas while tearing him down. He really deserves better treatment. It’s not the kind of thing you want to see from people giving marriage advice. 3. Seth is a marriage and family therapist but Melanie has no credentials or qualifications. And yet, Melanie is constantly interrupting Seth so that we hear from her the most. I wish that Seth would do a podcast on his own from a therapists point of view and not mislabel it as Christian.
-
Mo from mukilteoWhat are Melanie’s qualifications?I get that Seth is a licensed counselor but she acts like vicariously being around him and reading a few books makes her an expert. If my husband is a brain surgeon does that make me one also?
-
havzghdneneDRUMMER FOR EMERY?!Brooooooo, I didn’t put two and two together haha. I just signed up for the annual premium membership and my wife and I started the roadmap activities. I’m even more extracurricular that you use to play drums for one of my favorite bands. Talk about a divine appointment!
-
agoober21FantasticThis podcast has been incredibly helpful to me, I listen to it often and end up sending my husband several episodes to listen to as well. Y'all cover a gamut of topics and I love it. We've personally used the 'from you, for you' tool and it was a great starting point for a turning back towards each other in an extremely difficult time. I love getting to listen and learn from y'all. Y'all are making a difference. Thank you.
-
mosier 2015Your everyday coupleLove the Studleys. They’re so relatable and Seth’s education is super helpful too. They’re willing to openly discuss things that most people won’t. Therefore helping you bring up the tough stuff in your own marriage. Thanks guys!
-
Mrswag5Fun and honest talks on all things marriageReal, raw, honest conversations about sex and all things marriage. Seth and Melanie aren’t afraid to tackle real marriage issues with experience, advice, and humor. I love listening to this show!
-
ncvSmithReal & Honest ConversationsI have enjoyed listening to this podcast SO much and just recently encouraged my husband to listen as well! I truly appreciate the real and honest conversations that Melanie and Seth share together. It feels very authentic (a.k.a. not perfect, just like any other marriage) & that is what I have loved the most. Thank you for all you guys do!
-
KatballReal DealI have absolutely loved finding this podcast! It has pushed me and encouraged me to be a better version of me and then bring that into my marriage. I love how real this couple is and feel like we are all figuring this out together! I also love how they incorporate spirituality without it feeling churchy or religious. Thankful for this fresh approach to real issues in real marriages. You guys are the real deal!
