alightinsideAmazing podcast! These commentators have such a wide range of knowledge to bring to their Twin Peaks analysis, but they do so in a fun and relatable way. Plenty of belly laughs in between deep thoughts. I’m sad to see that another reviewer says that Mark has passed… if so, my sincere condolences to Rosie, Adam and Bob. My mother is in hospice right now and the only real laughter I get is when I share in one with you all on the podcast. I do wish that I had listened live when The Return came out so I could have interacted with you all, but I’m always late to the party. Best wishes and thank you for the gift that is your podcast!

Walt CancunHappy voyages, Mark! This is my favorite Twin Peaks podcast, and one of my favorite podcasts ever. It transcends the show itself, and pointed me in a new direction as a person. I know Mark, one of the hosts, has passed away. I hope the show comes back, but if it doesn’t? I guess there’s nothing left to say but, garmonbozia: PAIN AND SUFFERING
-
DawnLucySo smart & funny!Totally enhancing my Twin Peaks rewatch experience!
-
kylecitaPretty goodI’ve only been listening to the more recent episodes, but it seems like there are two guys who really hate each other lol. Maybe they’re just British idk
-
whitsappleidLove academiaI love how the narrators bring academic/humanities reflection into the stories instead of just recycling the fun facts abt production (which are fun, but other podcasts abt TP do that a dime a dozen). Also love the team rapport. Thanks y’all!

Zach SullivanExcellent companion for your 1st or whatever number watch. If you want some friends to go with you upon your first journey though the show, this is perfect. They do very well with not issuing spoilers as you watch along with them. Although, I will say, I could have most things spoiled and still enjoy it just as much. It’s audibly pleasing and the content made me think. Again, nice companions to take with you into the woods.

Thuglas316you’re still podcasting… that’s goodtwin peaks is a show that has stuck with me more than any other, years after finishing The Return i often find myself going back down the rabbit hole and looking up new analyses, hearing out new theories and reliving the mystery for weeks at a time. Diane is one of my favorite sources of peaks analysis, the hosts come at the show from a place of love and reverence and never claim they know exactly what everything means or that they have the key that will unlock your understanding of the show. instead they bring to light elements i’m unfamiliar with or have overlooked such as ritual magick and the history of occult practices and discuss possibilities. plus they seem like an all around pleasant bunch, very respectful of aspects of americana that might be lost on most brits. great stuff.
-
Denny KennardBowie episodeThe Jeffries-Bowie episode felt as if it were made for me and me alone. Thanks for such a thorough analysis of Bowie’s early 90s work and its relation to Jeffries (maybe the most critical character in the Peaks universe).
-
DustinPhilipsonTop notch ‘Twin Peaks’ PodThis show is exceptional. A great refreshing balance of reverence & self-depreciating humor. These Brits add such warm, wonderful insight into one of America’s greatest mythologies (ie Twin Peaks) — almost academic at times, and winsome & folksy at others. Love, love, love!
-
They Call Me The SlothCan’t get enough!I finished my first watch of Twin peaks about a year ago and then discovered this podcast. Really insightful, fun and down to earth from this crew! I saw another reviewer describe as 300-400 level twin peaks and I agree! 100% recommend.

Hector CortezHELLOOOO!!!A lovely companion exploration of my favorite TV series. On my second listen through! Rosie, Adam, Mark and Bob are intelligent, funny, and infectiously enthusiastic about Twin Peaks. These sharp hosts smartly avoid the traps that other Twin Peaks podcasts fall into when they try to lock everything down. Instead, they explore the repeated themes and energies of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s creation. Brilliantly. I also love their companion podcasts The Shadowtrap and Get Object. It’s a twenty five-plus-year obsession, and I’m very grateful we were given The Return, and I just as grateful for the Diane Podcast for magnifying my enjoyment of Twin Peaks. It’s now as vital as Laura’s Diary or The Final Dossier. Side note: I live in the US and whenever I meet someone with a wonderful English accent, I immediately ask them if they are from the seaside town of Brighton. I’m getting better at disguising my disappointment if they are not.

stankmuffinthewunderhorseThey got a podcast there that’ll kill yaAmazing cast. I listened to the entire thing last summer & fall. It kept me company through so many errands & chores. I love to listen to these people talk about Twin Peaks, especially Bob.
-
HijjjjackDiane was always coolSteadily listening through the back catalog of this podcast and really enjoying their insights. Well done!
-
Bway PatA wonderful accompaniment to the Twin Peaks canon.I saw a recommendation for “Diane” online and it quickly became my favorite podcast as I worked through the Twin Peaks canon, during the long evenings of the pandemic this Spring. I love the insights from Rosie, Bob, Mark and Ad; especially the way they weave in their knowledge of philosophy, the occult, mysticism and anthropology. These additional elements differentiate it from most of the other podcasts for Twin Peaks. Enjoy this podcast!
-
Frustrated Customer ReviewsAmazing podcast!Diane is easily my favorite TV podcast. Highly recommend this to all Twin Peaks fans looking to dive more into the lore
-
tylerbradelyarnetteCoffee Time!!Really nice to hear people rant about Twin Peaks the way that I do. Love this podcast and you are all very charming hosts. Would love to see a series of episodes focusing on one character study per. Sometimes I find a new podcast and the idea of getting caught up seems daunting. That is not what is happening here, I am so excited to have tons of episodes to look forward too. You’re keeping me sane at work in a factory in Florida, in the heat, in the US, while everything in incredibly chaotic, so thanks again and keep up the phenomenal work. Tyler - Pensacola, FL (HELL)

BrahbertFrostAs good as it gets, folksHaving just finished The Return for the first time, I’ve been greedily devouring any analysis I can find, and I can confidently say this is *the* best podcast out there for digesting and analyzing the infinity inward and outward. We’ll never “solve” Twin Peaks, and the beauty of this podcast is it does everything it can to unravel the mysteries, while still operating under the (correct) assumption that there is no answer key—nothing is an absolute truth. Their episode sign off is proof enough of how deeply they understand and appreciate this show!! One drawback: it will absolutely make you sad you don’t have the mutual respect and admiration and friendship these three have with your own siblings. Garmonbozia indeed!
-
magnoliagoulashA spot of sunshineTruly a gift to society. So many hours of delightful and enlightening conversation. Glorious wanders down the scenic byways of folklore, myth, culture. The familial love between the hosts is beatific. As someone with lots of siblings raised in the redwoods by intellectual hippies it feels like home. Rosie, Adam, Marc, and Bob if you ever find yourselves in the woods of Santa Cruz, CA in November come on over for our community thanksgiving gathering!
-
SculptedToastEnjoy the positivityEven in the doldrums episodes of Season Two this crew still identify gems amongst the rubble. I have listened to all the TP podcasts and enjoy many, but this one presents highly unique and well-thought responses. Thank you.
-
see you in the treesTop class!I spoiled myself by indulging in Diane as my first Twin Peaks podcast. No others have topped Diane. This is, by far, the most intelligent analysis of Twin Peaks and it’s cultural implications. One thing that bothers me when I have listened to other TP podcasts is that you can tell some of the hosts haven’t watched the episodes in a while...they miss discussing many important details, get events of different episodes mixed up, etc. The hosts of Diane, however, provide a very thorough and accurate recap of each episode, without wasting time on irrelevant details. Great job!
-
genghisKhan08Amazing workSeriously one of the best Twin Peaks podcasts out there. Exquisitely well-researched and explores the links of the TP canon to folklore, anthropology, philosophy and more.
-
Benv138Peaks PerfectionThe Diane podcast is a reflecting pool for Lynch and Frosts Twin Peaks in that it offers a clear reflection of the show, but has much depth beneath that reflection to offer. The hosts masterfully walk the line of interpretation and analysis of the a series that defies you on both fronts. They admirably avoid trying to “solve” the show and instead are able to demonstrate the value in exploring the mysterious nature of Twin Peaks, betraying a deep understanding of Lynch’s work overall. The episodes of this podcast range from reaction/reviews to in-depth looks at the themes and ideas in the Twin Peaks mythos. These topics demand a wide breadth of knowledge, and the hosts are impressively able abide. While never failing to be a charming and funny group. This is the quintessential Twin Peaks podcast, and I know no higher praise.
-
#1Zepp FanFantasticI’ve listened to three other in-depth tp podcasts and this is my favorite. It’s the 200 or 300 level course I’ve been looking for.
-
AlienJookBoxEssential textJust the sort of analysis a lifelong fan can really engage with. Thank you
-
My Name Is ClarenceSuch a Joy!This is such a great podcast! The hosts are so well-researched for every topic and the discussions are incredibly smart without losing the fun whimsy that defines much of Twin Peaks. After rereading The Secret History, I hope Diane eventually does a more in-depth discussion of it. The short minisode about it right after its release is a great episode, but I think it's a text that demands a full length deep dive. Keep up the good work and thanks for the show! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a new episode has been uploaded!
-
Mynx0619My absolute favorite twin peaks podcast! The hosts are entertaining and knowledgeable. You can tell they truly love the show and it’s a pleasure to relive it with them.
-
yamaballzLike listening to Twin Peaks!I have spent the last two months listening to Diane on my 3rd time through TP and I am only halfway down the feed! They generate so much content to keep me re-listening to episodes. Really love the backgrounds that each of the hosts bring beyond a film studies perspective. Keep up the amazing work, I've told everyone about it. Garmonbozia!
-
HaydenCarrFavorite Twin Peaks pod.Dale Cooper LOVES Diane!
-
stonermoogMy favourite Twin Peaks podcast.I love the hosts, they are intelligent, insightful, very well-educated, witty & charming. Exceptional analysis of the world of Twin Peaks. I really hope this podcast continues to discuss the work of Lynch & Frost.
-
anonyanywayThe BEST TP Podcast, period!!I’ve listened to lots of twin peaks podcasts but Diane is head and shoulders above the best - full of remarkable insights into the show’s complex relationships to literature, philosophy, spiritualism, anthropology, etc. And all done in a cheery and entertaining way that keeps me fascinated. Love it!
-
Super-secret CylonI wish I'd found this before the end of the Season 3 run!I'm currently making my way through this podcast, from oldest to newest, and I'm really enjoying the ride. Their speculation on and interpretation of Twin Peaks is from a place of true fans who happen to be really clever as well as funny. The chemistry between the hosts (siblings and lifelong friends) is always enjoyable. Listening in feels like being invited out for a pint to hash over thoughts on the most recent episode. I only wish I'd found this before season 3 aired, because it would have been great to share the wonder and anticipation week to week. As it is, it's still lots of fun to listen as accompanyment to a re-watch. Garmonbozia!
-
PowerBob386Smart!This is such a smart podcast! Rising above a simple recap of each episode, these three (sometimes four) hosts engage in intelligent discussions surrounding themes, characters, mythology, etc. which are fascinating to hear and come off as extremely well-researched. The hosts have a great rapport amongst them and it elevates an already educational show into an entertaining one too. I hope they continue their more theme-based podcasts now that Season 3 has ended, they're always such a treat. Thank you!
-
mister strawberryThumbs up!This is such a good in-depth discussion of Twin Peaks that rises above pure recap through extensive examination of themes and undercurrents. I’ve listened to about half a dozen Twin Peaks podcasts since The Return and this one is BY FAR the smartest and most well-researched one! If you’re looking for an intelligent discussion of a great text by four wonderfully bright and lovable hosts, look no further!

DerekDaRhinoLooks for the Mystery, Not the SolutionI love this podcast so much. I just recently started from the beginning, and am currently up to their take on episode 29 of the original run. Unlike so much of the other analysis out there, Rosie and the guys are fantastic at exploring the mojo, the mysteries, and the metaphors of Twin Peaks, without getting too bogged down in identifying some objective and tangible *meaning* of Twin Peaks. Listening to Diane is like being entranced by a beautiful treasure map, and filling your soul with wonder about the treasures it might hint at, without getting obsessed with finding the key to the map or an X that marks the spot. And that's doubly amazing in non-visual media like podcasting, where words are all you have to work with. I've watched all of Twin Peaks repeatedly, seen more analysis videos than I can recall, and read more words about it than I can count. But Diane is simply the best. They still add so much to my appreciation for Twin Peaks, even after all this time. Truly top-notch!

*Longtime Print Subscriber*Godfathers of Twin Peaks PodcastersThere are a half dozen excellent Twin Peaks podcasts and the Diane podcast is one of the very best. The hosts bring tremendous knowledge & insight from film, literature, mythology, history, psychology, anthropology, and Twin Peaks lore. Very exhaustive analysis and thought provoking.

LadyoftheGrailMy Fave Twin Peaks PodcastEvery time these guys pop up on my podcast feed, I get so excited! I started listening during season 3, because Lynch/Frost were blowing my mind and, having no friends who were watching TP, I needed a place to go for theories and deep dives. In the year since TPs3 aired, Diane has been my trusty companion through rewatches. In particular, I love their breakdown of the Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (heartbreaking book!) and the episodes "Miss Twin Peaks" and "Beyond Life and Death". Even after analyzing the entire canon, they are still creating new and interesting content. (No favorites...they are all brilliant, but I love Bob's take on things. Had to say in case they read the reviews.)
-
MK34543FantasticOne of the best Twin Peaks podcasts—great analysis that avoids academic impenetrability. Despite embarking on my third rewatch, I've found plenty new to think about thanks to their discussions.
-
FemberrySuper Fun David Lynch Esoteric GeekeryI love this show! If you’re a david lynch super fan you’ll love it too and it’s worth starting from the very beginning with the rewatch. Even the newer Shadow Trap episodes that veer away from lynch material are terrific and have that Lynch fan skew.
-
Ewinner WLike sitting around a table with other TP superfansI love the Diane podcast! The hosts are warm, intelligent, and very in tune to the details and nuances of Twin Peaks. Listening with headphones really does feel like you're in the room with them as they break down, dig in, and follow the threads running through the newest episodes. I have mostly listened to The Return 'casts, but I have loved those so much that I'm going back to the beginning. Lots of thanks to the hosts of Diane for their wonderful weekly TP analyses! \(^o^)/ 3/1/2018 ETA: The post-Return deep dives into broader themes in the Twin Peaks universe are informative and engaging, and they keep the show alive even though the broadcast is over (for now?). The Shadow Trap episodes are awesome! They aren’t explicitly TP-related, but it does come up from time to time. They explore cryptids and mythological beasts through the lens of one movie and one monster per episode. Give them a listen! :)
-
ronaldpickinpaughmy favorite Twin Peaks podcastThe hosts are all incredibly charming and have great chemistry, as well as astute insights and observations on the mysteries of Twin Peaks. Looove it.
-
Reason49the best Twin Peaks show out thereFor my money, this is the best Twin Peaks podcast you can hear. Most discussions -- and podcasts -- seem to be concerned with the trees and not the forest. Or, in Lynchian terms, the hole and not the donut. DIANE's approach feels like what Twin Peaks' discussions should be; the concern isn't who killed Laura Palmer, but why someone killed her in the first place. This means that episodes are dedicated to how the show makes you feel, what different images symbolize, and how the text resonates with the world around it. The podcast members are all knowledgable, funny, and insightful. I've seen the word "academic" in some of these reviews, and while that may seem intimidating, it's a real strength of the show. The crew are well-read, pulling from different avenues of literature, philosophy, and anthropology to discuss the show. If you listen to any podcast about Twin Peaks, make it this one. You'll dive deeper into the show, beyond the details and theories, and it will let you appreciate it even more.
-
Del-Boca VistaI miss this podcastI have Twin Peaks & have enjoyed every podcast, but I have become so fond of its hosts; Imiss tuning in and listening to this charming group. Any new podcasts coming?
-
Ls08gGreat!Awesome insight! Really well- informed and knowledgeable about Lynch’s influences and their impact on his art.
-
tyslaseeloA very worthwhile TP podcastEntertaining and informative, Diane puts it's own unique spin on Twin Peaks by discussing symbolism, imagery and folklore. Of course that's not it's only angle, but it get's a fair bit of focus and the hosts provide some very interesting insights. Definitely one of the best Twin Peaks podcasts out there.
-
theabe2000Smart and insightfulI listened to other podcasts on occasion, but "Diane" was one of the two essential podcasts I enjoyed while processing each episode of Twin Peaks season 3. Rosie, Adam, Mark, and Bob dig deep into each TP episode with insight and humor. More than any other podcast, it shined a light on Twin Peaks a little differently than I had previously considered.
-
orangecookieLOVE!The format is well-organized and their observations compelling. What I love are the music references- you got me at the mention of The Caretaker! So happy to have found this.
-
Justin RivendellJust stellar.I’ve just written a review a couple of days ago but I’ve just listened to the episodes leading up to the reveal of Laura’s killer and I couldn’t resist writing another review because these folks have really done amazing work on this podcast. It’s so wonderfully researched and presented; thoughtful and thought-provoking and full of a palpable feeling of Love. Each episode I find so much new delight in some facet of the show that I hadn’t noticed or hadn’t examined as thoroughly as I might. Absolutely recommend. Do it. Listen to it now. Why are you still reading this?
