I loved the journey it took me on. The destination not so much.

Loved the first couple of seasons! I wasn’t thrilled with the ending because it seemed like it took too much of the mystery away and the tone shift was jarring.

It does a good job of creating suspense but the actually storyline when it's unveiled was really unsatisfying . I feel like I wasted time.

I’ve listened to this entire podcast three times now. And about to start the book for the second time. There’s something about the story and Jasika Nicole’s voice that really soothes me. Obviously the story is not soothing exactly, but it’s my go to when I’m stressed and need to relax. I love the music at the end. I love all of it. Please collaborate again, soon!!

The first 2 seasons are just so good, and I love this series so much. The third season was a let down for me, but I still think this is a fantastically crafted and performed series well worth your time.

I’ve really been looking for a good mysterious story to listen to during my days at work. This is perfect! It’s gripping, thrilling, exciting! Keeps you on the edge of your feet! The ambience can make it a little creepy, but it’s an excellent podcast! I’m not super generous with my reviews, so there are two small reasons for the four-star. Sometimes, the storyteller/narrator Will go off on tangents. She’ll be telling one full and intriguing story, and then she will completely start talking about something else from her past. While I understand the development of the characters, sometimes this can get confusing and make me want to fast forward through to get back to the exciting story. And I do see what people are talking about when it comes to the whole political thing. Really no reason to add in how she hates the country and how it’s so racist. It literally has nothing to do with the story so totally unnecessary. Outside of those two things, this podcast is excellent and every time I put my AirPods in, I get real excited to listen!!

I loved Jasika Nicole on Fringe, but this is just a complete waste of her talent. The writing is bad and there is no point to any of it. I suffered through two episodes before I was forced to abandon it.

Really enjoyed the interesting plot and story telling of this podcast. It was perfect to listen to on my daily drive.

The story is engaging, the acting is strong, and the production is excellent…and then the periodic political posturing seeps in here and there. And it’s often very distasteful. I personally found that it significantly detracts from the underlying story and is thus unnecessary.

Despite having discovered new spooky podcasts, this one stands out as one of the best of all time. It’s very bingable and I’ve listened to all the seasons multiple times. It’s especially fun for roadtrips.

Alice Isn’t Dead is the first podcast I recommend when people ask for something a little dark and creepy. Of course, it completely ruins them for other podcasts, but I can’t help that. Phenomenal writing, excellent acting, and a story that manages to make me tear up even as it creeps me out. It’s a love story and it’s a hero story and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Highly recommend.

This podcast is very intriguing and interesting, however the main character continues to have this annoyingly anti-American monologue and I find it quite distasteful and unnecessary to the story.

My dad and I listened to Alice Isn’t Dead (the first time for him and the second for me) as we drove through the Midwest. It’s the best road trip companion and a great work of fiction with detailed, intentional world-building.

Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of the podcast. I really loved the characters, the settings, everything. The third fell flat in a major way. Did not love the resolution and felt some of the acting was a little lacking.

Although I am only getting started with Alice Isn’t Dead, three episodes in to be exact, I must confess my unconditional enjoyment revolving around this podcast. I wouldn’t consider myself a podcast enthusiast by any means, in fact—this is probably the first one I have ever invested real time into. Despite this inexperience, Joseph Fink has completely blown me away with this work. Jasika Nicole, too, has successfully tied every episode together fluently with her engaging narration. I stumbled across the podcast from a school assignment. Some internet browsing lead me right into Fink’s renowned work of Welcome to Night Vale. The concepts within this podcast interested me greatly, but unfortunately it was off limits since another student had selected it. Luckily, I was saved through my discovery of a similar series composed by Fink. Thus, Alice Isn’t Dead would be my next endeavor. The first episode, “Omelet”, was surely not a ‘dipping my feet in’ kind of ordeal. I would consider this episode a leap right off the high dive straight into the series, leaving me itching to watch more. Keisha and the mysterious Alice are both introduced in this opener, along with the creepy man from the diner. This man—called the ‘Thistle Man’ I believe, was easily the most memorable part from any of the episodes. This was most likely because of how brutally violent and chilling he was, and because of his presumed ties to Alice brought up in the third episode, “Nothing to See”. With this, if I could ask the host any question it would be something along the lines of—How did Night Vale inspire the ideas of Alice? Would you say there is any interrelationship between the characters and settings of each separate series? I would ask these questions simply because I would love to uncover what allows him to come up with such creative plots. Regardless, I am super excited to continue Alice Isn’t Dead in the future, and most likely Welcome to Night Vale once I am done. I am really hoping that I figure out what Alice’s whole deal was soon—simply because that’s technically what the podcast seems to be about... for now.

Came into the series originally day 1 and didn’t know what to think of it but ended up not liking it due to the radio sound check-in before reports. But then when we finally had an episode not about the monster, I actually fell into it and became majorly interested. Then fell down the rabbit hole that was right next to the sea factory. An I really enjoyed this podcast. As I listened to the 1 off you guys did after the finale and I wouldn’t mind a season 2 where it is just about diving into the mysteries of the US. Like maybe add gravity falls wish a nightvale-esk episode or Mexico and theChupacabra, or heck maybe even have them drive through and break down in nightvale for an ep or two. Good recommendation.👍🏻

Hi, just wanna say, the show has such a great start, but it really kinda putters out in the final season. You can only wax rhapsodic and philosophic about road culture for so long before it starts getting repetitive. It’s fine for a morning commute but it really gets old after a while if you pay too close of attention.

Its a pretty good podcast, have it at 4 stars because there is like 4 minutes of EXTREMELY IRRITATING synthetic key board music at the end of every episode, between that and the dumb chicken jokes the last 5 Minutes of every episode is absolute ear torture. Which means i have to stop what I’m doing, pull my phone out of my pocket and skip to the next episode. Its completely unnecessary and adds nothing to the show. I really don’t understand why it’s there, I guess they wanted one less star for me?🤷‍♂️

The voice actor is great, but the writing is so unbelievably pretentious. And these ridiculous knock knock jokes are the stupidest. Featuring music you would never seek out to listen to again.

I’m so glad I found this podcast! I absolutely love it and can’t stop listening. Definitely a binge worthy podcast. I finished listening to the entire podcast in 2 days. The creators are geniuses!

Would like to see the Ethiopian Restaurant episode and the Praxis jumping restaurant episodes.

Season 1: is perhaps the most innovative and addictive podcast I’ve ever heard. I was in absolute amazement. Season 2: wasn’t nearly as good as season 1, but it was still a great podcast and kept me interested from start to end. Stop listening after season 2. Season 3: Trash. Disappointing. Lazy. Awful. I refuse to believe the same person who wrote the first season had anything to do with this god awful waist of time. What a disappointment. I was going to read the book as soon as I finished this podcast, but after this, no way will I waste another moment of my time with this.

A lot of plot points remain unresolved at the end. It’s good but ultimately unfulfilling.

This podcast calmed me and took me in. I love the way Keisha thinks and how she expresses those thoughts and describes her encounters so vividly. She’s real. I found the writing and acting superb.

Seems like a major hole in the story, they make Kesha seem tactful and smart, yet she carries no weapons for protection and hurtles herself into danger. Still, overall a good story.

It’s called horror but it’s barely that. Everyone loves a road trip but this story drags. Good sound design and great voice acting but I don’t enjoy the writing. I wish mr fink luck and I believe he has done many great things but I simply did not enjoy this

The producers of Alice isn’t dead have developed a well written podcast and have created a master pieces. Though some may not in joy the show they are missing out on an amazing podcast, not just the twists and turns that are given as the plot thickens but the development of characters, not just the main character but side characters as well. The podcast is a grand roller coaster taking the listener into the podcast to find Alice making the listener feel like they are in the truck and or feeling like they are Alice and though the show may scared those who are younger or do no joy some sort of intense thrill it is a fantastic podcast with not just thrills but calm episodes where listener may relaxes more. Making Alice isn’t dead a master pieces.

The whole podcast is just one person telling a story as if they are talking to Alice the whole time it’s extremely boring and nothing too exciting happens there’s not enough audio stimulation it’s really just her voice the whole time. The book is most likely much much better. The podcast seems to be written in a more novel format then podcast story format.

I love scripted podcasts. The ensemble of voice actors, the worlds they create through sound effects - there’s so much creative opportunity in the space. Alice Isn’t Dead, however, is more akin to an audio book, where one narrator is reading everything... at least I think so. If there are multiple voice actors, I can’t tell them apart. I’m honestly so confused by who the narrator is representing at any given time. And then the writing... dear lord, it’s trying so hard to be taken seriously, it’s like an 8 year old boy puffing up his chest to try and fit in with the big kids. Wanted to like it, but it’s turning out to be a waste of time.

This podcast is so amazing. I love Alice’s voice and the story. I especially love the theme music. Thank you for writing this podcast that is bringing me joy!

I really loved this one, the characters are very strong and I tried to listen to it once a night but ended up bingeing it because I had to know what happened next. It has a really satisfying ending I think, at no point did I feel disappointed with where the story went

This podcast is so addicting to listen to! It is super suspenseful and gave me chills! The descriptions are so vivid that I can see in my head exactly what the narrator sees. The voice of the narrator is also very emotional, so I can feel what the narrator feels. Overall, this is a very well done podcast.

Overall a very good story, but Part Two, Chapter 7 was particularly excellent.

The idea of the story is compelling, but the dialogue made me want to rip my hair out and there were so many times where nothing interesting was happening.

I listened to this podcast before I ever came across Night Vale, and honestly I enjoy it more. I have re-listened multiple times, and enjoy it just as much each time. I will say that it took a bit to get moving, but it is understandable due to the complexity of the characters.

This fictional podcast is so well written and so unique, it sets a new bar for podcasts. After getting used to the weirdness I could not get enough.

Yes this is what I love in stories it talks as if you are Alice and the narrator is talking to you specifically it’s fantastic and enrapturing I love it I’m an amateur writer and this is an amazing literary device for those who love mystery and terror in the things they choose to read/listen to

The representation in this podcast is fantastic. Love the story, the writing, the acting, the production. This is the kind of writing we need to go mainstream in Hollywood and why we’re seeking it out in podcasts!
