The Scrum of the EarthBest of the bunchHands down, my favorite podcast. Lee and Josh are a perfect pair, and there is more insight and humor in each episode than all the other rugby podcasts combined. I highly recommend you subscribe, and, like me, support them through their Patreon.com page to get all the extras, bonus episodes, and more. Tune in, and within just a few days, you, too, can find yourself playing "Big Light or Lamp?" with the best of them!

Stateside RugbyThe best rugby pod aroundI look forward to several rugby podcasts each week, but Blood & Mud the most. Lee & Josh have a great rapport, and combine deep rugby knowledge with quick wit and dry humor. I’ve even been going through old episodes to get myself through some grueling work travel, and you’ve made me laugh even while my soul was crushed by 5 hours in the Las Vegas airport. Thanks guys! Really appreciate your efforts.

Danno EydelshtaynA deep dive into advanced stats it ain'tIf you're looking for a podcast with level-headed discussions of the latest results and statistical analyses of individual player performances - find yourself a different pod. If, however, you are in need of ad hominem attacks against a particular loose forward, unparalleled cynicism about the game, and frequent comments about the hairstyles, look no further!

SpikeshrIts what you hope you sound like after a few beers...A wonderfully irreverent pie-fight of a podcast. It tackles serious issues in a very considered way and covers all the major developments, but like your memories of reserve team rugby, it involves a lot of dodgy language, taking the Mick, strays offside more than a kiwi flanker and everyone gets splattered with mud.

Beerandloathingthese guys do NOT hold punchesI'm an American living in Italy and therefore root for the italian pro12 teams and I listened to my first B&M podcast and heard them start the show by tearing apart an England team that had just won their 13th straight test match (and don't get them started on Wales!). Well when they got to Zebre & Treviso I was expecting to be talked out of following Italian rugby but they were very respectful! Perhaps its the same reason the school bully ignores the disabled kid for more challenging prey but my point is when these guys are objective they're spot on and a great politically incorrect listen. More of a podcast that'll keep you company on a long drive or workout than getting an efficient rundown of the week's rugby action.

Rugby BrexitWinners of pod people most want to have beers withAn essential oil of a pod, Lee and Josh provide adept commentary that serves a mysterious purpose, but is clearly good for the skin and one's constitution (just ask the Hask), thus the definition of essential. More interviews, gents!

DustinstigThis is awesomeThese guys are hilarious. They are very blunt about things but also have a great sense of humor and actually do know the game well and can give a good analysis. As a rugby fan in America and having awful coverage of it here it's still great to have good content across the pond.
