The Pleasure Is Ours

398

We've all been led astray by bad advice: whether from a misguided parent, an ignorant mentor, or common misconceptions gossiped in high school hallways. Thankfully, The Pleasure Is Ours, the comedic podcast from Trojan and iHeartMedia, is back with SEASON 2 to continue blowing up the worst life tips! This season is hosted by none other than the guys from Comedy Central's Workaholics, and the hosts of iHeartRadio's This Is Important: Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson, and Kyle Newacheck. In each episode of TPIO, the guys pick apart the dumbest notions that young men and women are exposed to as they come of age, with topics ranging from work to sex, entertainment, and social media. And whether or not you find their countering advice of any actual help, at least their ridiculous analysis is funny as hell.

    Awesome!!
Putting the Workaholics dudes on this was a great idea. Couldn’t have picked a better crew to do this. 🔥Love it, just wish it was longer tho.

Why did they change the host?
I mean I like the concept for the podcast but the main selling point was Cody Ko I’ll give the second season a shot but I really wish they kept Cody as the host

    Almost my favorite pod
I LOVE Cody ko and this pod is hilarious and well done, however sometimes it’s a little too scripted and doesn’t fit with Cody’s style which is the only aspect that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. Other than that I love the guests he has on and the discussions are great

    Blessed by Another Podcast
I discovered That’s Cringe about a year ago. Since then I followed every one of Cody & Noel’s channels on all platforms, watched every video, and listened to their music & all 160+ episodes of their TMG podcast starting from the beginning. I’m up to date now, it’s been cool to see their creativity & growth over the years, and I’m excited to see what they do next. I love these guys & their heart for comedy and for people. Thankful for another amazing podcast, Cody!!

By far one of my favorite podcasts
I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I did. Cody hits the perfect candor between earnestness and humor. I’m heartbroken the season is over, really looking forward to it coming back.

    Where's next season?
Really enjoyed this podcast as it shows opinions on topics rather than the focus on a person. Gives more insight on their upbringings and beliefs, some comedy too. Can't wait till next season!

    Great Host
I love how welcoming Cody is to other people’s ideas and how he keeps the conversation going. He never makes anyone feel bad for their thoughts, and he keeps the podcast light and humorous.

    Advice: waste your time
Love this podcast! Jarvis Johnson would be an awesome guest, in one of his videos he said “you should waste your time, because you’re probably not actually wasting it” and I think that might be the best advice I’ve ever heard

    Misleading
Started off listening and trying to enjoy what I thought were common misconceptions based on classic sayings and idioms. Turns out it’s just far reaching interviews to connect the title of the show. It’s a decent podcast if it were advertised as something different.

    Best blockchain and vacuum information
Alas, a podcast that I can safely listen to and know I’m getting all the latest and up to date information on the newest vacuums and how to efficiently repair them. I really love how they incorporate blockchain and really trying to predict the futures markets. Great call to buy futures on honey roasted peanuts Cody.

Seemed like the format was all over the place and nothing anyone said was particularly funny or interesting enough for me to come back.

    Funny!
I want Noel Miller as a guest. Also loved that you got Drew on the first episode. YouTube ftw!

Love Cody but found the format so awkward
Cody is perfect. The only thing that I don’t like is the script they obviously gave him to regurgitate at the beginning of each segment. The thing that is so great about him is how naturally funny and human he is. But the way this show is so rigid really makes it hard to get into. I know as Cody gets more comfortable it will improve a little but I just think they need to loosen up the format or give more space for Cody to ask his own questions or something..

    A Very Frictionless Podcast

    Frictionless old man
I was surprised to hear that they hired a senior citizen to host this podcast, but boy oh boy was I surprised at what this Grandpa can talk about. This fossil is very entertaining and really makes this podcast be completely and utterly frictionless. 11/10.
