a1000facesCool, but...If I were forced to choose a favorite out of all the extremely likable Comic Geek Speak hosts, Peter might be the one I'd choose, mainly because he's seems the most grounded. But taken out of the CGS milieu and placed on his own without the other Geeks to react against, his groundedness comes across as clinical, boring even. I've only listened to three podcasts so far, but in his analysis of issue 1 of NTT, Peter managed to do something that I didn't think possible: He took the fun out the issue. His analysis was informative and interesting, but the sense of discovery -- the sense of wonder that comes with getting a new issue of a comic that you know immediately is something special -- was missing. I think this is because I am a listener who remembers buying those first issues of NTT in the 80s and being hooked immediately, whereas he discovered them later. In his analyses, I don't feel the "sensawonda" that I had in reading NTT back in its early days. I was a DC fan, but there were no comics I bought regularly. NTT was the first. It was truly something unlike anything else DC was publishing at the time. It was fun, thrilling, stylish, and cool -- things that I guess readers take for granted as expected in our comics now. And it's probably hard to communicate something you didn't experience for yourself. Still, CGSP: TT is a very well done podcast. I'm looking forward to listening to the other episodes. Peter's love of the Titans -- and Dick Grayson (a favorite character of mine, too) -- is evident, and his ability to add context and background always makes the podcast worthwhile listening. But don't forget the fun of it all.

Azarath13Congrats/questionJust wanted to say that you guys are doing an excellent job with this podcast. I didn't really pay much attention to comics at all, but since we have just started to rewatch the animated Teen Titans, I couldn't help but start to see how the Teen Titans were before they became a show. So yeah, good job with the podcasts, really enjoying listening to them. Also, a question. I have some apps on my iPod, comic book apps, and I was kinda shocked to see that they had zombie-fighting teen titans. Do you know why they did that? P.S. The comic is Teen Titans #88.

EquinoxA Great Podcast That Brought Me Back to CGSAfter having dropped the main CGS show for quite a few months, I heard about Peter's show on the comic book forums. What a treat this show is as it speaks to time of my youth spent buying comics off the rack at the local 7-11 store. The New Teen Titans was one of my favorite series of all time, one that I was able to get on at the ground floor with issue #1. While these shows may never be as regular as any of the listeners may like, I for one will greatly appreciate them as they are released. Thanks again for these tap meister; you do a fantastic job!

qayneExcellent Teen Titans-specific podcastPeter Rios' jaunt down memory lane is titanic! Seriously though, if you love the Titans, especially the Wolfman/Perez run from the 80s, you will love this podcast. Mr. Rios is entertaining and knowledgable--he makes me want to go back and reread all of my old Titans comics along with him.
