The Downton Abbey After Show recaps, reviews and discusses episodes of ITV's Downton Abbey.Show Summary: This British drama series follows the lives of the Crawley family and its servants in the family's classic Georgian country house. The series begins with the 1912 sinking of the Titanic, which leaves Downton Abbey's future in jeopardy, since the presumptive heirs of Robert, Earl of Grantham — his cousin James, and James' son, Patrick — die in the catastrophe, leaving the family without a male offspring to take over Downton when the current lord dies. The point is important since Lord Grantham's children are daughters — Ladies Mary, Edith and Sybil, but the facets of their lives and of those of the below-stairs staff — also a highly regimented world — have fascinating story lines.

    Love the pod cast hate the intro
    I really enjoy the podcast and look forward to hearing it after watching an episode. I absolutely hate the intro to this show! It's super hyped up and loud. There's gotta be a better way to introduce the show... If it wasn't for the intro the podcast would be almost perfect. Please consider updating /changing the intro. To the after buzz podcast to something that is not so hyper and intense and loud!

    Other reviewers say that the gal is annoying. Well, she laughs way too much and too loud. The guy sounds like he is talking into his collar with his head down, and I cannot understand half of what he says.

    Great podcast, it is interesting because the views of the pannel are often split. It isn't just a whole bunch of one perspective. I love the analysis and can not watch the show without thinking "Poor poor Edith". As always Tammara Berg rocks the house with her news and gossip. I hope we get more than one more year.

    Awesome Show!
    I love this show! I love the insightful discussion, the fun predictions at the end, and that they include the news. It's conversational and interesting, but not overly serious. I love that they give attention to the large storylines as well as the tiny details and that they always support the show, even if it gets a little unbelievable. I have so much fun speculating with the team. And I really love knowing that when I comment on youtube or twitter that my thoughts are actually being read by the hosts. In every single episode they include things we've said in comments and give shoutouts. It's very fun and a great feeling that I've been heard and am part of the show. Definitely join in if you haven't!

    I love almost all of the afterbuzz aftershows and the Downton Abbey one is no different. I appreciate they are out when the show airs live in the UK.

    Very Uninformative for U.S. Listeners
    I subscribed to this podcast hoping to get a glimpse into the new series of Downton Abbey before January. This has turned out to be extremely frustrating. The hosts do not often explain anything that actually happened or describe the storyline. I can’t follow what’s going on in Downton Abbey because they never actually come out and say it! The hosts go on and on about something that happened but they don’t go into what they’re talking about. I also agree that the female host on the show is difficult to listen to. I may try one more episode, but unless something changes I’ll be deleting this off my list.

    Hey guys! I just started watching Downton Abbey 2 weeks ago and have been binge watching all of the seasons. I LOVE this show!! I am so happy that you guys are doing your podcast for the show because no one else I know has seen it. I get so excited after each episode and I really enjoy listening to you guys discuss it. I can't wait to listen to you guys when Season 5 starts!

    This is one of my favorite shows on TV and listening to this podcast makes it that much better. I love listening to the thoughts on plot and predictions. The panel of commentators is great. I can tell that they truly enjoy watching Downton as much as I do.

    Much improved since last season! It seems to have more Tamara and less John (a good thing) and the addition of Courtney Stewart is just what they needed.

    Frustrating at times...
    The male host is so hard to understand...he talks under his breath at a mile a minute and keeps stammering (exactly as the previous reviewer said). He jumps around from one topic to another. He also constantly interrupts the gals while they're talking. It's very frustrating to listen to. The gals enunciate and speak very clearly. The male host REALLY needs to reel it in.

    Love the show and the hosts! Great Analysis and I also love the enthusiasm of the hosts! This is Downtown Abby not Hannibal or True Detective... It's supposed to be a fun podcast!

    I downloaded these back in Aug '13 and saved them for when Downton aired here in the U.S. I'm so glad I did! The hosts are fun to listen to. They're insightful without being too melodramatic.

    This podcast only gets an "okay" rating from me. I really enjoy the male host of the show. He keeps the conversation going without being overbearing and makes some insight points about character motivation and period details. Tamara, on the other hand, while she does make *some* good points is overall too annoying for me to enjoy listening to her. Her sometimes overly enthusiatic attitude and attempts to be "quirk-ily funny" do not come off well. The other female host seems totally pointless. She probably only says about 50 words per episode and mostly states basic facts about what happened or echoes the other hosts. These points aren't enough to make me stop listening, but this hsow could definitely be improved.

    It's obvious that the hosts are not watching this on PBS along with the rest of us and some have watched ahead to the end and it would be nice if they were up front about it. Come on guys, did you really think you could pull this off??????

    I love your podcast. It's a can't miss for me. This week, though, you guys only reviewed the first hour of the episode. PBS aired it as a 2 hour episode. I was just wondering if you guys didn't see the 2nd hour or you are waiting to do that next week.

    I generally really enjoys your recaps and download every week. But please finish the episode prior to reviewing it. You must have not watched the last 10 or 15 mins. You kept asking questions about archs that where resolved at the end.

    Great show, BUT...
    I love your podcast and think the hosts do a wonderful job. However, I hate hate HATE the announcer at the beginning. His faux gameshow announcer voice and over-the-top delivery grate on my nerves to no end! Can you possibly come up with a quieter intro? :-)

    I disagree with the last reviewer, I think these guys are excellent and energetic. fans of th show! Sometimes a re-cap is what I'm looking for. I like the writing and directing analysis, too. This is a thoroughly enjoyable podcast!

    Dear lord is this woman host annoying
    Way too hyper and over excited. I was hoping for a more serious discussion of downton with some analysis of the time period or culture. Instead it's just a wrap up of the show. All that I could take but the woman host adds nothing to the conversation. And I'm a woman too. I can't picture any man sitting through this podcast.
