    Superficial
    Very superficial understanding of Objectivism

    Great Objectivist Commentary
My liberal friends often talk about listening to podcasts so I began to explore my interests in Ayn Rand and Objectivism amongst available podcasts. From the few that are available, "Don't Let it Go...Unheard" by Amy Peikoff is an excellent commentary on a variety of topics, and is by far the best among them.

    Pure Eloquent Rational Objective Clarity
I don't listen to many podcasts but Amy's podcast supports the right to the pursuit of your own happiness based on the philosophy of Objectivism by Ayn Rand. I think of her show as a lone life saver of truth floating on a vast ocean of myths.

    Hashing the News
There are these little programs used in information security called cryptographic hash functions. Into the function you pass an input, called a “message,” which it processes then returns an output, called a “digest.” I like to think of "Don’t Let It Go...Unheard" as a kind of hash function for weekly news, into which passes the messages of current events and out of which comes a nicely encapsulated digest, processed through the program of Ayn Rand’s philosophy of Objectivism. Personally, I find it rather difficult to ingest the news in its raw form, unpalatable as it is, spouting from mouthpieces of modern pop culture. I can’t listen any more to MSNBC or CNN or Fox or radio talk shows or the networks. There’s too much yelling, too many sound bites with too little context, not to mention derision, condescension and misplaced self-assurance. It seems that even when they get the story right, they get the meaning wrong. Yet I like to stay informed about the world around me since, after all, I live in it! And so I write this review with gratitude to Amy and Bosch for creating their podcast. They take in all those messages and, in an informative way, pass on an entertaining little digest processed through a wholesome sense of life. What’s more, I enjoy the show despite the fact that my particular interests (economics, cycling, old TV and movies) do not coincide with theirs (law, privacy, comics, basketball and new TV and movies). I guess it’s the way they can tie together disparate threads into a meaningful and cogent whole that makes the show compelling. Finally, for those of you who are irritated by Bosch’s style, I think your annoyance is misplaced. True, he can cause Amy to lose her train of thought now and again with a poorly timed non sequitur, but if you listen to the few episodes when he’s not there, it’s not as lively. The pace and flow of the show is (paradoxically?) diminished. Perhaps if you think of Bosch as a color man who supplements Amy’s play-by-play -- a Cosell to her Gifford; a Madden to her Summerall -- your opinion will soften. ‘Nuff said!

    Great analysis of current events
Amy Peikoff does a great job analyzing current events from an Objectivist (Ayn Rand) perspective. The only negative is the frequency of interjections from cohost Bosch Fawstin, which usually detract from the flow of Amy's presentation.

Great Subjects, Great Views, Wrong Words
There is a growing number of shows reporting from the Objectivist perspective emerging onto the radio scene, and I am loving that. In fact, I am finally finding it hard to listen to all of them every week! This show is one of the ones I make sure I listen to every single week. Peikoff and Fawstin, the hosts, pick important subjects and inject a refreshing pro-reason viewpoint into the infected media scene. There is one bad thing about the show: Bosch Fawstin. The guy is not incorrect, but it seems that all he does is interrupt Peikoff or their guests to call leftist people names, like rat and scum. I mention this because I object not to his name-calling, but to the fact that it’s not objective, and his /constant/ interrupting just slows everything down, and makes for many awkward moments as Peikoff tries to stay on track after he bulldozes through (usually thoughtful) points that others on the show are trying to convey. He is a very angry person--justifiably so--but it is just not appropriate for /this/ show. I say let him do his own show! (It would probably be three hours every day of name-calling, and I would probably listen every now and then). I think Peikoff needs to find somebody who wants to express their pro-reason ideas in a more objective and philosophical way than Fawstin.

    Very good
Amy Peikoff's analysis of the news and culture is from an Objectivist (Ayn Rand) viewpoint, which means: you will find ideas and interpretations here that are correct and cannot be found elsewhere. She does this with insight and an exceptionally clear, structured, logically developed presentation (and smoothly, with no "uh"s!). Just a few topics to illustrate the uniqueness of this show: John Roberts's nonsensical Obamacare opinion, contrary to the common wisdom and top legal analysis, does not at all chip away at the powers of the commerce clause (Amy is a legal scholar); a point-by-point coverage of the main speeches at the 2012 Republican Convention, with analysis of the points; a properly hard-hitting coverage of Islam in the world and in the U.S. today; the truth behind the alleged privatization of Swedish health care; a blow-by-blow on Obama's fantastic Inaugural Adress. And much more. Yaron Brook, President of the Ayn Rand Institute and well known for his excellent philosophical-political commentary, appears often. Go to the Don't Let It Go website for excellent blogs with intelligent, knowledgeable, and well-written participants; plus further good work. And check out colleague Bosch Fawstin's graphic novels (just internet search "Bosch Fawstin"). I haven't read comic books for decades, and didn't expect to be impressed, but was surprised to find Bosch's storytelling, and especially his skillful and energetic graphics, to be powerfully dramatic. More than worth the modest download cost.

    Superlative
I've enjoyed listening to this podcast since its inception. The choice of discussion topics is always interesting and the analysis is spot-on. I just wish I lived in a time zone that made it possible to tune in live and participate in the chat. . .

    Straightforward, philosophical, yet understandable
This show provides a welcome POSITIVE defense of individual rights and the American sense of life, telling you: “don’t let it go,” even though there is a lot of negative in our country and our culture right now. If you are tired of the hyperbole, rhetoric and appeals to emotion that pass for argumentation on various “news” outlets these days, you will find this podcast a refreshing change. The presenters offer rational, reasoned commentary from the philosophical orientation of Objectivism, but without using a lot of arcane, philosophical jargon, keeping the subject matter understandable and accessible to everyone.

    Good show in general.
It's very much in the tone of a news cast, I enjoy it, but a lot of people will be turned off by the calm consistent tone .

    Love this Show
I enjoy the top stories reviewed with a rational perspective. They view each topic with an indivdidual rights perspective that feels like America. Amy and Bosh are witty, charming, and funny. Love it. 5 Stars!!!

    Blunt, hard-hitting, and mercilessly objective
This is not the show to listen to if you just want affirmations that things are going to be alright and that we don't have to make drastic changes. Instead, Amy Peikoff's show provides no-holds-barred reporting and commentary on the real state of affairs in the United States. The coverage is unapologetic in its defense of Individual Rights and unwavering in its sober assessment of politicians and political events that threaten our freedom. If you believe we are in a battle to rescue the fruits of the American Revolution, you owe it to yourself to listen to and support this show.

    Great!
Leonard Peikoff's podcast meets Fox's Red Eye meets chat with friends over coffee. The title of this show is a reference to an essay written by Ayn Rand entitled Don't Let It Go. To quote from that essay: "Is there enough of the American sense of life left in people- under the constant pressure of the cultural-political efforts to obliterate it? It is impossible to tell. But those of us who hold it, must fight for it. We have no alternative: we cannot surrender this country to a zero- to men whose battle cry is mindlessness." The hostess Amy Peikoff and her often times cohost Bosch Fawstin are excellect fighters in this regard. Amy's analyses of the current cultural and political events are spot on, intelligent, honest, and insightful. Unlike the petty bickering and weak arguments seen in mainstream cultural-political opinion outlets, Amy always gets down to the real meat and potatoes of each topic. This is the kind of real discussion we wish we had more of. The general attitude of the show is similar to a casual discussion with friends over coffee about the world, and often leans towards a rant about that world, as such discussions will sometimes do. I tune in every Sunday to listen, and I recommend either subscribing to the podcast via iTunes, or catching up in the archives here and joining us on Sundays. As a side note I'll say this: Bosch's side comments, although helpful and sometimes humorous, are often an interruption to an otherwise great analysis. I can tell Amy wants to (and actually has done before) cut him off or tell him to pipe down because he's interrupted her quote or train of thought. Other than that, I wish they would go back to the two hour shows!

    Very Well Done
I enjoy these podcasts very much. Technically it is near perfect. The production value is of the highest quality, better than one would find at some professional talk show broadcast studios. I don't know the technical specs but they are good enough to leave the audience with a sense of intimacy with the host. The host, Amy Peikoff and her oftentimes co-host, Bosch Fawstin have a rapport on air that is superb. The thing I appreciate about the show is the willingness of the hosts to delve into a current event with solid, logically consistent analysis of facts. One does not get the feeling that this is a partisan rant fest. Rather it is a genuine effort to break down the issue at hand in real terms. Hardly dry, the show is often humurous, and always passionate. It is an honest broadcast. I do think the podcast is too short. I am always wishing for more time. I love the interactive nature with the chatroom. In time I predicct this will grow, as well as the frequency of call-ins. Great job!

    Objective?
Take away the sarcasm and cynical comments and you have very little to listen to of any consequence. I don't find these folks objective at all. It's pretty obvious that these folks find very little if any good in our current president for example. Anyone can make negative comments all day long because this isnt a perfect world. How about offering some solutons or something positive.
