ErinRTondaMissing this PodcastI was really hoping that this podcast would come back after a brief hiatus. As we are approaching 3 months since the last episode, I don’t know if that will occur or not. It was a weekly must in my podcast lineup and I am truly missing Sarah’s voice. Thought provoking episodes, questions and guests, That’s What She Said has it all. Hoping to find it landing somewhere soon.

CBair14Thank you!Several years ago I decided to search for and commit to listening to women’s voices in sports, and I came across your podcast. It has brought me so, so, so much more than an interesting perspective on sports. You are smart, confident, thoughtful, curious. Thank you for taking us on your quest for lifelong learning and self-improvement. As your producer said, I’m a better person for having listened to your podcast. And while I hope you do what is best for you, I also hope your voice, in a similar podcast format, returns, as it has enriched so many lives. Thank you!

Lilyreign132Love love this podcastSarah you’re an amazing storyteller and advocate, bringing attention to issues that are incredibly pertinent to know about and understand. You bring smart, driven and entertaining guests on to the show and connect to them immediately, while also seamlessly getting them to open about challenges and life lessons that I have been able to apply to my own life. Thank you for all of the new weird words of the week, insight, jokes and advice you’ve done through this podcast and fingers crossed this show continues into the new year ❤️🤞🤞
-
jschemberRe-Electing the CommishDelightfully funny, deeply curious, and sharply insightful in every interview. Sarah Spain shares her passion for delving deep into new subjects and talking to interesting people. Simply put, this is a great podcast and I hope it continues in the new year!

Miami_MeganGreat Listen Every TimeThis pod is a great listen every time. I have looked forward to it every week and will miss it! Found myself often learning something new, growing, finding a new interest, laughing, and definitely leaving with a smile.

JerzGirl25Always Time Well SpentInteresting guests and topics, with a litany of great questions from Sarah. A quick search of ESPN podcasts reveals mostly male podcasters - no surprise there, but the small number of shows led by women makes Sarah’s voice even more valuable. I sure hope That’s What She Says continues to have a spot in ESPN’s lineup.

jamiedawson90Great, nay! Crucial podcast!I don’t normally write reviews for podcasts. Truthfully, I’ve always liked Sarah Spain but stumbled upon this podcast because the Around the Horn feed started publishing her weekly episodes there. Boy, am I glad I did. Her takes and interviews are always thoughtful and inspiring. Sometimes she’s silly, but She’s exactly what I need in the middle of a hectic week (my weeks are all hectic). Laugh-out loud moments coupled with moments that get me talking and thinking about topics I usually don’t. Thank you. I truly hope this show continues and if it moves locations, I hope I can be intentional in finding it immediately because I will definitely miss this podcast.

spence881We need Sarah in our pod feeds!!!Always enjoy Sarah’s take on things so I welcome her weekly episodes that give us interesting guests and great conversations!

TlruppeSarah Spain is one of the best interviewers ever!Sarah Spain is the most prepared and interesting interviewers ever. even when I don’t think I’m going to like the interview because of the topic she finds a way to make it interesting and impactful. One of the ones that I click on first when it pops up in my download list.

MastersweekNever miss an episodeI love That’s What She Said with Sarah Spain. She brings on really interesting guests from all sorts of backgrounds. I listen to a lot of podcasts but I would say her guest list in the most diverse and from so many different industries. She asks great questions and you can tell she does her research and is very curious. I feel like I learn something new every time. Plus I love the Spanish Inquisition.

Tha 3rd1Goal AchievedGreat wrap up rap✌🏾w/ Mrs Hill… Awesome, but I must say… My goodness ESPN! Please don’t cut her off, what Sarah Spain brings to the forefront is all I fought for over the past 26yrs in the US Air Force! I have one daughter and when she came out to me, I cried for happiness because I said, theirs women/men/they/them out there… Listen to Sarah Spain, she provides guidance and an safe place to know/hear from others like our family who won’t judge you for being great! I learned that deployed fighting for women, men, they/them… I get it we have sports and analytics… but besides Mina, and Tony TK salute…and Mike Wilbaun… You’re really taking something that speaks to all of us and communities that don’t know how to discuss the crossover! Mrs. Spain, if you leave just know we will follow, I love all of your work, all that you stand for and I wish you all the best and I hope you become a Billionaire like your husband 😂✌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾!

Mahz6696You gonna learn todayA new word. A blind spot. Empathy. She’s such a great interviewer that I rarely leave with questions that I would have asked her guest but I ALWAYS leave with questions for myself.
-
MissedTitleIXAwesome interview with Alexandra Horowitz!!Sarah Spahn is one of the best interviewers around. She never gets in the way of her guests but frequently adds cogent details from her personal and professional experience.
-
modum03Excellent podcastI’ve been listening for a couple years now. Sarah is the most prepared and intelligent interviewers of our time. Her podcasts are entertaining as they are educational.
-
Der-was-takenShould be considered a sports showher podcasts focus more on feminism than sports.

HoopdudeHow many times can I review?Love this podcast. (I may have sent this already). I’m a sports nut, so most of mine are relative to sports. And, this is why I initially started listening to this one. But there is soooo much more. Her chat with Chef Edward Lee. Now, that was fun. I’m in the PNW, but now I need to head to Louisville or DC to try some new restaurants. What’s obvious is that Sarah does her research, she makes connections with her pod guests. Not only is she a great listener, she asks great questions. Still waiting for Brandi Carlile as a guest, though. Or Pete Souza? Cheers!
-
yes, my name is nickLady of SpainSarah is an interesting person seeking and talking to interesting people in any avocation. Speaking of, a great guest would be long-time Chicagoan Emily Graslie. She started out making a YouTube video from a natural history museum at the University of Montana, where she was a senior art student with an uncertain future, and that video was written up in Scientific American within a week. She became an overnight YouTube star, albeit niche, until the university closed down the museum. She was instantly snapped up by The Field Museum, where she continued her YouTube series The Brain Scoop (It still has brains on it). Ever since, she has filmed live taxidermy prep--complete with Gross-O-Meter, traveled around the world, and had species named after her. She has made a PBS program on midwestern wildlife. She has since left The Field Museum and The Brain Scoop, and it would be cool to catch up on such a natural communicator.

ArrowtotheKnee42FearlessSooo funny. and sooo smart. a delectable spoonful of sugar. Sarah Spain is fearless. and entertaining.

RoningilOne of the best interviewersSmart, funny, engaging. Have enjoyed SS since I first heard her on the Lebatard show. Been a fan ever since! I miss you interacting with the Le Batard show. Sarah, how about interviewing Jessica Smetana as being the only female member of the Le Batard Show? Thanks for all the good work!
-
More accessKendall interviewGreat interview with Kendall! I’ve followed Hilary Knight for some time, but had no idea how much harder these athletes have to work to not get as much as the boys. I think both of you should leave golf clubs alone, just say’n.

-
chimanbjA modern voice for a modern dayI’ve been a fan of Sarah since her days on WMVP Chicago, and have watched as she has worked to make her voice heard and respected. She is one of the best new voices in sports and is not afraid to share her opinions, even if they make you uncomfortable. She speaks her mind, speaks the truth, and is highly respected in the sports and entertainment circles. If you’re tired of the same sports talk, follow Sarah Spain - you won’t be disappointed! That’s what she said!
-
L-Dubs424My Actual Favorite!Okay, I’m an all things Detroit sports fan and typically don’t enjoy listening to Chicago fans but Sarah is the exception. I love this podcast!
-
NuckheadI Always LearnNo matter who your guest is, I always learn. I might not agree, but I always think. I stretch. I grow. I learn a new word. You’re the person in sports I would like as my friend
-
none_ya-buisness5 stars! 5 stars! 5 stars!Great show, keep it up! I really like that it’s a mix of everything. Keeps me interested the entire time. Especially love highlighting women, in multiple industries, not just the top athletes.
-
mjgraham8616Great Insight!Love the varied guests and wide ranging discussions. As a Brit living in Delaware, think you should have Susie Dent on the pod, I know you referenced her tweets in the past but think it would be a fun discussion
-
DerekChristVery upliftingAbsolutely love this podcast. I binge episodes when I’m working in my art studio and not only are they just overall enjoyable to listen to, but they often serve as motivation as well. Sarah is a fantastic interviewer and even though she is most known for her work in sports, you don’t need to be a sports fan to enjoy this podcast.
-
brendamm9Awesome interviewerI love the wide range of people Sarah talks to. I have learned and laughed a lot.
-
